I have 5 of these fans and love them all. The 3 blade design moves the air very nicely. I like the modern, sleek look. They are quiet, no wobble. I know there are some negative reviews out there and I can't speak to that. I had all of my fans installed by my electrician (best one I have ever used) and maybe some of those problems experienced by others were due to improper installation. It is more than just hooking up the electricity. I also have some Minka lights that are wonderful. Minka makes good products. ... show more

    • Quiet Ceiling Fan that is high quality and easy to install!
With summer's heat looming this fan provides a quiet cooling experience for my bedroom. This is especially important at night when I don't want to hear the noise of the fan! Few points: Powerful - 3 settings so can turn up or down the speed depending on the weather. Easily strong enough for the large bedroom placed above the bed. Sleek and Stylish Design - Fan is stylish and modern that blends into he decor of the bedroom Easy installation - Managed to easily install this myself with no prior experience. Watched their installation guide on youtube and it was pretty seamless. I did need an additional part which is a ceiling bracket kit to support the weight of the fan as I was switching from a light fixture. 2 Directions - can switch between summer and winter mode. Unfortunately it's a physical switch on the fan. Remote - this would be the most frustrating part of the ceiling fan and why I took off a star. It's poorly designed and despite having an up and down light button they both do the same thing and rotates through the brightness so if you're trying to dim the light you might end up at full brightness first which is frustrating! Overall it's a high quality fan that i highly recommend. Hope they fix the remote issue and I'll give this a 5/5! ... show more

I had someone install this for me, so I can't speak to how easy it is to install, but this fan is quite powerful, has very smooth operation, and runs quietly. I'm very pleased with the purchase.     • Very loud humming
I purchased 2 of the 44” fans for 2 bedrooms and a 52” fan for a living room. The 52” is perfect but both of the 44s have a loud humming sound when the fan operates. Minka technical support was very responsive and said the problem was likely the wireless receiver or the capacitor. The company sent us both items for both 44” fans. Specific instructions were provided and we proceeded with the troubleshooting. After switching out the wireless receiver there was no change in the humming noise. Next we replaced the capacitors. No change in the humming. Another call to tech support and we were advised to ship the motors of both fans back to the company. This would be a 10 to 12 week turnaround. Summer in Maine will be over in that time and, being snowbirds, we will be headed south before new motors arrive. So we put the quiet 52” in the master bedroom where the humming 44” kept us from sleeping. This is the 3rd house we have installed Minka Aire fans but this is the first time humming has been a problem. I am very disappointed with performance of the 44” fans and will not buy them again. ... show more

This Minka aire 44 inch ceilng fan was easy to assemble and install. Its operated by remote control, including reversing the direction the blades turn. Really moves the air at low speed and operates quietly. Very satisfied with this product. Highly recommend.

Once installed, the fan part of this would not work! Paid electrician $200 for nothing!
