I recently broke my toe, and I am unable to walk outside. Because I am an avid walker, I was trying to walk on the foot, which caused a lot of pain This was easy to assemble, it’s very quiet, and light enough to move around as needed. it fits under my desk, or I can easily move it to the living room to use while watching TV, reading a book, etc. My only complaint, a small complaint, is that the manual is so small that the directions are impossible to read. My 79 year-old husband has lost a lot of muscle mass/strength in his legs and can barely function with a walker. He isn't very self motivated to work on improvement and has his sights on using a wheelchair... not a good option for our lives. Just received this mini bike, was fairly easy to assemble if pay close attention to the instruction pamphlet (which is a little limited in overall guidance), the enclosed anti-slip pad is flimsy and inadequate so I used the rear seat floor mat from my car which fits perfectly and is very stable. My only disappointment so far (haven't really had time to use this yet) is that the resistance feature doesn't really have much resistance factor, hence the 4 star rating. Hopeful my husband will get on board with a mindset of being proactive but that's not a feature offered with this little mini bike :⁠-⁠)...to bad, would pay a high price for that!! ... show more

I purchased this item to help with rehab and PT from knee surgery. I just wanted to be able to move my knee in an easy bicycle action. It is pretty cheap so not expecting great things. The unit is pretty light weight, this means that it isn't very stable and slides around while pedaling. To fix the lack of stability I placed two 15lb dumbbells on the feet at wide end of the unit - with careful placement these allow me to pedal without hitting the weights. The actual pedaling is ok, but not particularly smooth, one side has a slight catch so that there's a minor jerkiness while rotating. I can handle that since I am not doing very extended pedaling but it would be annoying for longer periods of time. The LCD display didn't do anything. It turns on but it doesn't register time elapsed or rotations. I figured that it might need a new battery so removed the unit to replace the battery. It turns out that the LCD is connected to some kind of sensor that isn't attached to anything, it's just floating around inside the unit.. I appears that the sensor is supposed to register a small magnet(?) on the flywheel but since the sensor isn't attached to anything nothing happens. I'm only using it for small 10 minute cycles so I can use the timer on my phone but I can't detect rpm or anything like that. So the LCD is pretty much useless since I don't care enough to try to find the correct attachment point for the sensor. For the price - don't expect much and then you won't be disappointed. This item is not something I would be using as a home exercise component, it's useless for that since it doesn't work very well. ... show more

    • Not Stationary, Not Accurate, Not Exercise, Not Working

So when you get a product this cheap, you kind of have to expect to get what you pay for. The bike was advertised as a stationary bike that you can pedal under your desk or place on a desk to pedal with your arms to get a workout and, to be fair, it does do those things. The problem is that the bike does not make any of this easy. For one, the bike itself is incredibly light, which seems like a good thing initially until you start to pedal. Since it is so light, it is very easy for the entire bike to move around, making it harder to keep a consistent rhythm with your legs or your arms. In addition, the bike has no catch to carpet or the rubber pad provided to prevent it from moving around, so there isn't really a way to fix the problem other than pushing it against a heavy object as you pedal and hoping for the best. The LCD is also a bit inaccurate in terms of calories burned as I believe that the amount of calories burned is consistent for anyone who uses the bike. While this may seem nice, I doubt that cycling on this for about 15 minutes without breaking a sweat means I'm burning 100 calories each time. Losing weight and burning calories is hard and having a bike with an inaccurate LCD is only going to do more harm than good as you won't actually be able to keep track of how many calories you burn. To make matters worse, the bike has almost no resistance with the pedaling, which kind of defeats the purpose as an exercise bike. The idea is to have some resistance to engage your body and encourage energy use, but the lack of resistance means you would need to be pedaling for a very long time before you get to that point. If you do try to increase the tension on the bike, you either get no change or get too much resistance, which makes the bike more likely to move before the pedal itself. Worse yet is that if you can manage to move the pedal, a horrible squeak soon starts with every cycle and it will not go away until you stop and remove the tension. Finally, the reason why I give this a one-star review despite everything else listed above comes from the last time I used it, which was a 15 minute cycle with increased tension and the horrible squeak. Really trying to make this work, I pedaled on to get some resistance until I smelt burnt rubber. Removing the LCD let out a bunch of smoke from something burning in the bike, which I assume was from something melting into the cycle as it will no longer pedal now. While I'd like to assume I was shredding the bike to the point of falling apart, I had only been pedaling for 15 minutes and at a moderate pace. If that was enough to break this bike, then nothing else should convince you that this product just isn't worth it. ... show more
