  • Rodent's don't like it,... but I do.
Rodent's don't like peppermint. I don't know why, because I think it smells good. Sprayed this stuff in the attic of my shop, as well as behind the freezer and tool boxes and the high shelves - anywhere I'd seen droppings or heard activity. That was a few weeks ago and I think it had an immediate affect. No more scampering noises when I enter the shop and no droppings in the hidden places. Makes a good air freshener if you like peppermint. I plan to start spraying a few locations in the attic of my house. I also may use in the engine bay of my cars that live outside. Pros: - It works - sprayer can shoot a stream about 10-12'. I was able to spray the perimeter of most of my attic from the access hatch. - about 1/6 of the jug did the attic and a few hidden places in the 20x40 shop - covers up most other smells better than Febreeze Cons: - WARNING... Strong smell at first. I mean it was stronger than the smell of the used oil filters and various petroleum products scattered about as well as the rodent smell. It could be very overpowering for a day or two if you go overboard with it. I probably used more than I needed at first (but it works, so I'm not complaining) - Likely need repeated treatment every few weeks. ... show more

  • EXTREMELY GLAD I BOUGHT THIS
I live in an RV 5th wheel and though the unit itself is very nice, I have had a mice issue since moving into it over 2 years ago. While I managed to locate some of the hidden places they were coming into the coach from the cupboards, I have still been looking for something that I could actually spray in their direction if I hear them in the furnace area and other places inside the outer shell of the RV. This product sounded like it was a good option and so I got it! As soon as it arrived, I could tell that it was very potent, though thankfully all natural! As soon as I got it, I sprayed in the "basement" areas and decided to keep it handy in case I heard any of those "close by" noises. Sure enough, one day I could tell that something was behind the sink, drawers, stove, furnace area. I quickly shook the bottle and then opened the cupboard door to spray like crazy in the direction of the noises. At that point, I could literally hear whatever it was RUN out of that area and I have not heard anything since then. I have also used it on wasps to "stun" them, giving me a chance to kill them another way. But this stuff is my go-to now. I am very thankful for it. I sprayed it profusely in the basement area once again, and I have not seen any traces of mice droppings since then. This is a real blessing for me, and what a great bonus to know that it will not be at all harmful if any should float through the air into my coffee or any residue possibly end up on food preparation areas. I also love how the sprayer I can hold with my right hand while holding the bottle with my left hand. I wasn't sure how to attach the sprayer mechanism when I received it, but all you do is remove the tiny protective cap from the bottle and insert the little "ball" from the sprayer hose into the top. That's it. You do have to shake it before each use, but it comes with a tiny green cloth that I can put over the cover of the bottle for any tiny bit of product that may come out by shaking. That has never been an issue and actually there isn't a whole lot that does leak. But you do have to shake it first. So obviously those critters do not like this product, and for me that makes me feel very "armed", especially as the winter is approaching. I'm very thankful to have found this and would highly recommend anyone who faces incessant invasion by mice. I'm sure you will find this makes a difference! ... show more

  • It works.. just need to do extra steps and be aggressive the first two weeks.
I had a rodent invasion. They found a way to get straight into the attic, I think through the AC unit's piping. Luckily, they didn't get comfortable enough to enter our actual living space; they managed to keep their distance in the attic. A house was recently torn down, and I am assuming they fled to all the nearby houses. They would get to my house around 3 to 4 a.m. every night. I believe they were raiding other houses and coming back to mine to hang out and make all kinds of noise up there. Eventually, they did manage to find a way into my pantry, and it was the attic and pantry for a few months. I started to set up all kinds of traps, and they would work for a week, but then they would catch on and stop falling for them. Then I would switch up the traps, and they would begin falling for them again. This went on for a few months; I would reduce the population but never fully clear it. Eventually, I decided it was time to step it up a bit, so I started to buy peppermint-infused items. I would place them in the attic and in the pantry. It would keep them quiet for a few days, but then they would come right back. Eventually, I kept trying different items until I found this Mighty Mint Gallon. From the start, I liked it because of its strong smell, and if you spray enough, you can even feel it on your skin, which I can only imagine the rodents must have felt about it. However, this didn't completely do the job. I did notice there was less traffic but not complete elimination. That's when I decided to be more aggressive. I doubled down on the traps and began spraying this every two or three days. I set up sticky traps all around my house, focusing mainly on putting the traps next to the walls and under tables and furniture—anywhere they might try to make a run for it. I figured that spraying Mighty Mint so much would make them try to enter the actual living space, so I had to prepare for it. Sure enough, they completely moved into the pantry and were making their way out of it too. I caught many on the traps I had set up around the house, and I had also flooded the pantry with traps, so I was catching them there as well. As of today, I am still spraying. I don't hear a single rodent, and I haven't caught any new ones on the traps. They used to tend to stay away from the traps after a period of time but would then start falling for them again; however, this time seems different. I will keep spraying this for another week, then slow down. But I suggest you don't depend on this alone—you will still have those that don't care about the smell and would rather keep eating and destroying what they can. You definitely need this, but use it alongside something else to help you truly get rid of them. ... show more
