Before ordering this, I thought how good could a hair dryer actually be. It is great and better than expected! It is quiet in comparison to most hair dryers. The sound is actually relaxing. A circle lights up around the dryer head in either green, orange or red so you know if it is on the cool, warm, or hot setting. The controls are easy to use. Cool air blows from the bottom of the dryer handle, which helps keep me cool even when using the hot setting (I'm not sure that is the purpose of this, but it helps none-the-less.) I love that it uses negative ions to reduce damage to hair from the heat. The nozzle to direct the air flow for precise drying attaches magnetically. Also included is a fragrance you can install for a nice scent while you dry. I haven't used this yet, because I am not sure I want to have a fragrance, but it is included if you like this type of thing. This is also an attractive looking hair dryer. I really love this hair dryer! It is quiter than my older one which is convenient because I usually dry and straighten my hair at night when everyone is sleeping. Although it works great I would say it doesn't dry as fast as it says in the description. Tested first on my son's very short hair and took a few minutes to dry. Could have been because the hot setting was too hot for him. As for my hair it is very thick and long so took about 20 mins. It's easy to hold and lightweight but durable. Leaves my hair softer and smoother, definitely less frizzy than with my other blow dryer. With that said it does still save time because I don't have to use my flat iron for as long. I really love that it doesn't cause heat damage and I also do not have to use as much product as before. I would definitely recommend and it is well worth the price! ... show more

My dad liked my Dyson and wanted one but cheaper as that's his style. I searched high and low as many products seem questionable and I didn't want something that would be dangerous for him as he's a senior. Saw this and jumped on it as it's a good price and had some good reviews. So far it's working out great! He doesn't use the scent as he doesn't have use for it, but I'm sure that's a nice feature for some. It's lightweight which was key for him and not super noisy like traditional hair dryers, although with seniors, noise level isn't as much of an issue, but good for general product features. Very fast and efficient hair dryer. It comes with a fragrance pod that can be inserted to provide a nice scent to your hair, however, this is optional and doesn't have to be inserted to utilize the dryer. It is somewhat light, what makes it heavier is the thick power cord. It is one of the most quiet dryers I've tried. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this dryer. While the on/off and temperature buttons did feel slightly cheap, the rest of the dryer feels and looks very high end. The air and temperature levels are extremely responsive. It's nice and compact, feels really good in my hand, and there is definitely some force to the air. I don't use heat on my hair at all, and the cold setting remained nice and cool - perfect for my styling needs. This dryer would be absolutely perfect for straightening (using the included attachment to direct the air), or for a blowout type style. As a curly girl, I'm hopeful that I might be able to find a diffuser that fits, as my curls definitely prefer diffused blow drying. Note - I did try the included "fragrance" attachment, and to be honest I don't really understand it or feel that it's necessary. The smell was ok, but did smell basically like a dryer sheet. I doubt I'll be using the fragrance attachment again, as I feel the dryer works fine on its own and this feature isn't important to me. The one and only downside to this dryer that I've noticed is that the "low" setting is a bit too strong, which is not a problem if you're wanting a really quick/efficient blow dry, but isn't perfectly ideal for hover-drying to set curls. I have held onto my old hairdryer for over 15 years. Loud, slow to dry, and huge! I'm kind of ashamed I didn't pick a new one up sooner, but I'm thankful this is it's replacement! It's so convenient to have everything magnetized, and it's one switch, one button system with temperature LEDs makes it fool proof for me to style my hair. For my above-the-shoulders thick hair, it dried my hair in a little under 7 minutes. It's much quieter, and even my dogs tolerate getting their fur dry on the cool setting after playing in the rain. This hair dryer works so well, and it is better than the name brands at an affordable price. It dries your hair with the cold or hot air. TBH I have not used the scent. It does everything that I want for a dryer, and it is a very nice compact size, which has been good for the travel.
