I have thick, wavy to curly hair. You will be amazed at how easy it is to have the hair go up the tube and come out stick straight. It is heavy when you are drying your hair, but not bad or a deal breaker. I can't see traveling with it easily; perhaps if you are on a road trip but not an airplane. It cuts drying time in half. Your hair is smooth and silky. It does make it stick straight, so if you like volume and some bouncy wave, it won't do that. You can use a curling iron after, but to me, the point is less heat and heat damage. There is some learning curve with this unit. It can make your ends look a bit dry. I called the company and they were extremely helpful and explained some things to do that have now greatly improved my results. I'm definitely getting the hang of it and really love it! ... show more

Follow the instructions closely! Smaller sections give you a more detailed dry closer to your scalp. Also, don't expect your hair to dry quickly if your hair is soaking wet. Remove the extra moisture before drying for best results. I love the fact that I can use the tension feature to stretch out my hair according to my own specifications. My wife and daughter are always using this machine. It’s very strong and works like a charm. They both have curly and kinky hair. After 30 min there hair is straight and relaxed. I am happy they like it.

I frst saw this product on a natural hair blog. Both my daughter and myself have extremely thick 4C hair. I have been hesitant to order because of the very high price. I REGRET BUYING ! Assembling was easy and the instructions were simple. The problems. FIRST- it is extremely loud.. Second - I had to put on highest setting to even get it to attmpt to strectcg my 4c afro hair. THIRD. it only stretched the very ends and would not get or pull at the roots leaving me looking like a bush with strings sticking out. Fourth it is so heavy and Awkward to hold in place at the back of my head. Fifth- I was unable to finish my head because the machine kept over heating and tripping the breakers. It was also very hot to the touch even after I lowered to a level 5. I am going to watch a few more Youtube videos to see if MAYBE I am doing something wrong but most likely I will be sending this thing back. ... show more

I must start off by saying that I was very skeptical about the effectiveness of this product. I read the reviews on all products before buying them to help me decide if it’s worth trying. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive about this hair dryer so despite the high price I decided that for the sake of maintaining the health of my hair it would be a good investment, so I bought it. Well, when I opened the box and saw the unit, my first impression was, this is a joke because this looks like a vacuum cleaner so they must have sent me the wrong product. I was ready to send it back, but I read the instructions and how to assemble it and the settings for my hair type. Well my anxiety rose even higher when I realized that I am supposed to insert my hair into the hose and I was worried that it would get tangled into whatever mechanism was inside it and it would rip my hair out 😂😂😂😂. (Yes I have major paranoia with strange looking hair contraptions). Anyway I sent up a small prayer to God and trust that it was going to be fine. PROS: 1. I felt NO HEAT on my scalp or hair 2. It took 40 seconds to dry each section of hair. Total 8 sections so it took less than 6 minutes to dry my whole head. 3. I did not need to apply any heat protector or oils to my hair before drying it (per the instructions) 4. My hair was dry, straight, shiny and felt SOOOOOO smooth & soft when it was released from the suction. 5. I don’t need to use anymore heating tools when I am finished drying. If I want to add a little curl/wave to my hair I can add a few curlers otherwise I love it straight 🥰 CONS: 1. Too bulky to travel with. 2. Does not have a carrying case 3. Have to keep the original box to store it after use. 4. Super loud If it weren’t for the lack of a carrying case and the units bulky size which would make it difficult for traveling I would give this product a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, so if you are hesitant about buying this product, don’t be because it’s worth the money. What are you waiting for? I opted to use AFFIRM to pay for mine and my monthly installments is $27 or if you have a Amazon Card you can pay in installments with $0 interest. ... show more

After doing a lot of research on this hair dryer I decided to give it a try. It’s pretty cool and the concept is awesome. I watched a bunch of tutorials and read lots of FAQs so I’m pretty confident that I am using it correctly. To be honest, though, I find it faster to dry my hair with a traditional hair dryer (even a scalp-aware one that runs on lower heat). I realize this one practically reduces all of the heat that comes on to your hair but the physicality of holding the device up plus the longer length of time wasn’t worth it to me. HOWEVER, I can see how this would be AMAZING for other hair types. (Mine is long and straight hair, so maybe not even the target hair type!) ... show more
