This is a wonderful little pump. It definitely gets the job done. With my first born, I didn't pump very often at all since she was EBF. I bought this along with 2 knockoff Haakaas to use on the go. This pump emptied me in a fraction of the time it would've taken to use the Haakaa on the opposite side. I bought it again when I had my second child. I'd never been hooked up to a wall pump nor were wearable pumps a thing when my first was born so I had no idea how long it would take me to empty. Within minutes of pumping, my collection bottles quickly fills with milk. This pump has come in handy for when there was a power outage and I couldn't use my wall pump. The only thing i don't like, is the constant pumping you have to do manually. My hands gets tired after so long. Every mom needs to have a good manual pump on hand and this is the one. This manual pump has changed my breastfeeding game. I’m so glad I put it on my registry. I have an electric pump that I got through my insurance, and it doesn’t pull anywhere close to what this Medela pump pulls, and in half the time. I have to sit and use my electric pump for 45 minutes to pull maybe 4 ounces of milk. With my Medela pump I take 15 minutes each breast and at the end I have over 5 ounces and half the nipple irritation that my electric pump gives me. Love it love it love it, I recommend this to anyone trying to breastfeed and build a milk stash. ... show more

I love this hand pump so much that I use it as my primary pump (I pump 1-2x per day and otherwise breastfeed). It empties me much better than my Spectra S1, and I find the suction more comfortable. It only has a few parts and is easy to clean, which is a huge plus. I wish it had an option for a larger collection bottle though because I’ve got a large supply and end up having to empty the bottle midway through so I can keep pumping. I also wish the silicon piece in the handle stayed put better, but that’s not a big enough issue to detract from my love of this pump ... show more

I can't pump just yet but I did test it and a couple of pumps did pull quite a bit of colostrum that I hadnt seen yet. It hurt a little from the suction but once I can use it I will use coconut oil on the inside of the flange. I haven't washed it yet so I dont know how well it holds up in the dishwasher. It is easy to put together but one piece is difficult to take apart. I got as a back up to my electric pump in case of power outage (happens a lot here) and travel. I love this pump! It empties me in about 10-15 minutes with more output than any of my wearable or electric pumps. It’s so easy to take with you, and use literally anywhere you need. I love that it’s only 5 parts, and easy to keep clean. I put a duck bill valve on mine and got even better suction.

Im not sure if it is user error but I find this so difficult to use compared to an electric pump. I have tried holding it differently, pumping with different hands and hands free with a fitted bra and even different speed of pushing down on the handle for longer and shorter presses and still hardly get much but get more when I use my electric pumps. I hear great things about this but personally couldn't get to that same experience. Also keep in mind you can't full on adjust the suction level of this like an electric so you're stuck with the level it is/the pressure you apply. ... show more
