  • A Disappointing Experience with the Elvie Portable Breast Pump: A New Mom's Perspective
As a new mom committed to providing the best for my baby, I eagerly embraced the idea of breastfeeding. To facilitate this journey, I invested in the Elvie portable breast pump, drawn to its promise of convenience and efficiency for a working mom like myself. The allure of the Elvie pump lies in its compact size, quiet operation, and hands-free functionality. Its sleek design seemed tailor-made for the modern, multitasking mom. However, my initial excitement soon gave way to frustration as I encountered significant flaws in its performance. The concept of a hands-free, portable breast pump is undoubtedly appealing, especially for busy mothers balancing work and childcare responsibilities. The discreet design and quiet operation initially seemed like a dream come true. Unfortunately, the reality fell short of expectations. One big issue is the pump's tendency to leak milk from the release button, particularly when engaged in any form of movement. This flaw not only compromises the efficacy of the pumping session but also results in wastage of precious breast milk—a setback that no breastfeeding mother can afford. Another significant drawback is the subpar battery life, which undermines the pump's purported portability. Instead of offering the freedom to pump on the go, I find myself tethered to power sources, constantly monitoring battery levels to avoid interruption during pumping sessions. Regrettably, my experience with the Elvie portable breast pump has been far from satisfactory. Despite its promising features, the product's fundamental flaws overshadow any perceived benefits. As a result, I've been forced to supplement with formula due to milk leakage and unreliable battery performance. While I acknowledge the potential of the Elvie pump and appreciate its innovative design, the current iteration falls short of delivering on its promises. As a consumer, I urge the manufacturer to address these issues promptly and prioritize functionality over aesthetics. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend this product to fellow mothers seeking a reliable breastfeeding solution. In conclusion, while the Elvie portable breast pump may appeal to the modern mom seeking convenience, its performance fails to live up to expectations. As a new mom navigating the challenges of breastfeeding, I hope that my feedback will spur the necessary improvements to make this product truly worthy of its price tag. Sincerely, Ana Karen Disclosure, this account it;s under my mother's name, we share an account. ... show more

  • The best investment ever
I am a happy husband. If you are a mom with good milk production this is the best machine you can buy. Its quiet, efficient, gentle with the nipples, stimulating and the best time saver we value as precious to get more sleep minutes. I bought it for our first child, we took it out of the box after 4 years for our second child, everything was perfect until our nurse put the Elvie pump into our sterilizer. F@@@@@@@@@@@@, we both cryed, we jump into amazon to order a new one without hesitation, we new that for this first 9 months are crucial for our marriage, our sleep, our mental health to have this fantastic and efficient machine in our home. We live in Colombia so we waited for an extra LONG WEEK TO GET THEM. Our nurse is safe though hahahahaha Thanks Elvies for your creativity and existence. If you have leaks trough the button for sure, ask for a replacement, we have never had that problem and if you are a mom that doesn’t produce enough milk, don’t judge badly your pumps you will need supplementations any way. ... show more

  • It does its job
I am a waitress at a busy restaurant- I knew I had to have something wearable and secrete before going back to work if I wanted to continue my pumping/bf-ing journey. They work well for me so far. Better than my Spectra? Nope. But i don’t expect it to be better. I have been back to work for a month now, and my supply has no dipped thankfully. I do wear them for the full 40 mins at a time. It occasionally leaks into my bra while I am wearing it, that can be annoying but i am moving around like crazy so it could be my fault. But for the price point it shouldn’t leak at all IMO. With that being said, I definitely don’t think they are worth almost $500. Maybe $200, but oh well, I paid the price! If you are on the market for a wearable for around the house, office job, or some movement. I’d definitely look around at other pumps. But unfortunately for me I have to have something secrete while I work. ... show more

  • AVOID AT ALL COST
First things first the original set they sent me would not charge, you had to stand there holding the charger a certain way on a BRAND NEW product both were like that. so i called elvie for the warranty they sent a new set took almost a week.. for you pumping mamas a week is too long without a pump i had to use another pump in this time even though i invested $450 in these. the little bit i did use them if i moved around or bent over or did dishes or anything milk leaks out of the release button all over your bra. COMPLETELY defeats the purpose of a wireless hands free pump. SO I get the next set charge them up and take them to the pumpkin patch with me all 3 kids and baby in tow.. and its time to pump. one of the new ones had NO suction. i turned it on it stayed in stimulation mode, could not pause it could not turn it off it just stayed on making noise until it died. out in public while trying to have a fun day with the kids i had to take double the time to pump because i was down one. and again cant move around to much because leaking... well it leaked anyway. so i called elvie it has been less than 30 days and 3 out of 4 hubs they have given me have been trash straight out of the box. they refuse to return or refund them this lady "mary" refused to transfer me to a supervisor and just kept putting me on hold for extended periods of time then told me well you bought them from amazon so call them..THANK YOU amazon for making it right but they shouldnt have had to when it says on the website you can return defective items. elvie wanted to just send another set i told them no thank you i am done dealing with this product. search their ads on social media and you will see many similar comments and people complaining of being shined off by customer service. dont waste your time and money here. ... show more
