I really thought this knife set was attractive and I was very glad to open the package when it arrived. I unpacked the very nice block and removed each item to place in my sink to wash before placing them in the block. When I got to the end of the package, I realized it was lacking the scissors. I immediately contacted the seller to advise that the scissors were not included and to please send it. I received a reply from the seller advising they could provide a refund but did not have the scissors. Now, I got the SET because it is RED and all parts of the set were COORDINATED in the same COLOR and STYLE. I said I wasn't interested in a refund - just the scissors. It has now been almost 2 months. I never heard from the seller again. I don't have the scissors. I don't have a refund. I have a specially designed knife block for the specific purpose of housing the coordinated set but am lacking the scissors. The knives themselves are sharp, utilitarian and attractive. I wish I have been sent the entire set as purchased so I could display them as they should be. Were it not for the missing scissors, I would have given this set a 5 star rating. UPDATE: Today I received a complete new set from the vendor complete with block, knives and scissors. It's perfect. I'm no chef, but I'm a good cook and good knives are essential. These knives are sharp (both the blades and in appearance). The set is more versatile than other more expensive sets are. The knives are not overly heavy or unwieldy. The scissors perfectly match the knives and every thing looks great in the block. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the set again as gifts for others. These are great quality at a very reasonable price. I love my new butcher block knife set. I considered returning them for a smaller set because I have limited space. Well, after using them just once, I couldn’t part with them. They are a nice color and I made space. The built in sharpener is great. I use one, especially the butcher knife , I hand wash and dry it and run it through the sharpener a couple of times before putting it back in the block. Awesome product. ... show more

I was very surprised at the quality of these. I have bought others and was disappointed so definitely was surprised at the weight and style. They dont feel cheap and look great. It has the sharpening function built in that makes it easy for sharpening. Definitely recommend these.

Well balanced, well designed, and best purple knives on Amazon (believe me, I’ve bought all the purple knives looking for something that is functional) and these meet all my chopping and cooking needs and then some, with extra scissors, too, all at a reasonable-ish price. I just with they were either less blue or more burgundy to match the rest of my kitchen, but the ones that match my kitchen better are actually rubbish as far as design and quality. These knife are extremely sharp! I got these for my kitchen and I got cut pretty quick after using them. These are great knifes and work very well I still love using them everyday. They are very easy to clean. I highly suggest making sure your full attention is on the knifes while using them.
