The Master Lock Excell No. M40EURDNUM solid body padlock features a 70 mm wide stainless steelbody for strength, reliability and corrosion resistance. The 10 mm diameter octagonal shackle is 16 mm long and made of Tough-Cut boron-carbide, 50 percent harder than hardened steel, offering maximum resistance to cutting and sawing. The reinforced body bumper protects against scratches. The lock includes set-your-own combination convenience, with the need of the included reset tool. This padlock is ideal for self storage units, sheds, trailers, moving trucks, vans and more. The limited lifetime warranty provides peace of mind from a brand you can trust. I needed some good locks to lock down my father’s gates to his fence as we go through probate to settle things. These locks are great to protect from gaining access to the gates. I had some of the thinner metal locks on the gate and some cut through that lock. Well, they will not cut through these locks. The are really heavy and great quality. I did find the instructions a little hard as mines got torn off when I opened the packaging and it took me an hour to try and understand where are they located and I finally found the passcode and stuff. It was torn off with the packaging so I never found it where it said it’s was. Need to do a better job of placing the passcodes where they will not get torn with the packaging and then you can not find it as I thought it did not come with a passcode. Other than that, excellent heavy locks to secure a gate or anything more securely. They are expensive but worth the extra cost. ... show more

Did not open even with code from label, tried in every position. Stiff, finicky rollers, crude stamping, metal rough and cheap, fake. 3 of these from different shippers all had same manufacturer default code. There is NO way this is a genuine product. Avoid.

I had a similar product that I used for many years on an outdoor storage unit, in spite of spraying with WD-40 once a year, it got a bit rusty. My old Combo had letters not numbers, this one has only numbers. I could not find one on Amazon that had alphabetic letters for the combination. I prefer to have a word rather than digits on my combination lock. But this works. ... show more

Needed a lock for a Pod shipment - This one is easy to reset the combo with the included key, easy to open and easy to lock. Quite heavy and feels like a secure piece of hardware.
