D Lock. It's heavy. The internals you can sorta shake and hear it on the die he dials are CRISP. Changing one dial doesn't move the other dials, unlike on some cheapies. Not using this lock for high security, just a locker. I will say however, the shackle only locks on one side. The tail end of shackle is not notched. So no doubt not a high security lock. This does not bother me for a gym lockers. It is a very nice inexpensive lock. Way better than the few brinks I had where many dials, would spin only when touching one dial. While it seemed to work fine initially, it suddenly broke when I was traveling in Europe—at the absolute worst time. I needed this lock to be reliable, but it just stopped working out of the blue.
