I like the hidden compartment that locks so you can allow some access to one while maintaining control of the other. The safe also seems well built with no issues of scratches or chips in the paint as others have mentioned. I don't use the keypad and only plan to use the keys and hope that it continues to allow me to open over time. Note some reviewers have complained about not being able to open. 1st one I received had a bad key. Contacted Amazon, they sent a replacement before I could box up the return. Very cool. When the second safe arrived it was 10/10. Really solid safe. Beautiful interior. Top internal safe is super nifty. I lost everything in a house fire 6 years ago. I had two fire proof safes that were both close to a thousand dollars, not fire resistant to a certain temperature, fire proof. Both melted into unrecognizable clumps in the fire. Don’t put too much thought in these fire proof safes, or lack there of. Just buy a safe that will keep a vagabond from stealing your fun-dip stash. ... show more

This safe lasted just over one year. It's not like a refrigerator that you get into every day, multiple times a day. We opened it a handful of times over the year. Yesterday we tried to open it and it would not open. We had to destroy the door to finally get into it. It's too big to try to send back. I would not recommend this safe. ... show more

Overall, I like this safe. Large but lighter than I expected. For the money spent it should be fire RATED. Am having to purchase fire rated bags to use inside as a precaution. The slider that hides the emergency key hole is loose so not very concealed. I do like the lockable inner shelf, key hangers, document holder on door and inside light.
