I bought these chairs as a surprise for my husband and redid our little outdoor room…. We used it for storage but wanted to do something nice for him so I bought these and a shelving rack and the tapestry you ca. see in the photos attached…. He loved the surprise and has always wanted these chairs so now he has 2!!!!! First off to be fair, in the 1 star video above the chair was not put together well. Loose and or missing screws is why the chair looked weak and was squeaky. The chair (put together correctly) is fairly solid. The good: It is light, easily foldable/portable & sturdy. I would imagine it's fairly durable once weather sealed, but I haven't had it long enough to verify that. Makes for a good father son project. The bad: This is a project! Don't buy if you want a plug and play piece of furniture! This is made for a smaller person, it sits lower and is not as deep as a plastic adirondack chair (picture attached) Conclusion: 4 stars only for the fact that's not available in a large. It is well designed, but As a 6'1" adult male its rather uncomfortable to sit in for long periods. The portability does somewhat make up for that tho. I would definitely buy again if offered in a bigger version. ... show more

This summer project had its pitfalls but thanks to a great seller and patience it’s done . I needed two pieces replace . Not a problem . I lost the assembly manual . No problem . Seller was quick to help out . Assembly was not bad just needed more hands with parts . . Definitely need power tools. One coat of paint was all it needed before the picture . I am happy with the quality and will buy another for the next auction ! ... show more

    • NOT hefty, but I suppose one get's what they pay for.
If you are handy, patient (you enjoyed a box filled with cardboard puzzle pieces as a kid, for example) and enjoy assembling things from instructions (thinking current IKEA, as an example) , you will enjoy building these chairs from a box that arrives filled with seemingly countless wood pieces and hardware when it arrives. The instructions are good. If you are NOT handy, buy your chairs locally at a store which has preassembled them. That being said, the end product is only " OK" in my opinion. It is NOT super sturdy, it is NOT very wide (so you better not be obsese) , the chairs ARE NOT oversized as advertised! The wood pieces are thinly engineered for aesthetic and adequate construction purposes , but NOT for longevity, in opinion (background in architecture here) . And, of course , each chair needed to be hand painted by YOU upon completion, and I did so. All in all, would I purchase this product again? No. I should have paid up for better size and heft. But they look nice, for whatever that is worth to you as a potential buyer. ... show more

First, they were cheap so my expectations were low. I knew they were going to be a bit of work assembling, staining and coating but they turned out decent. I don't expect they'll last long but they have been serving the purpose intended. They are not very wide in the seating so keep that in mind.

I’ve bought two of these chairs because I needed the small size. Comes in 64 pieces but everything is drilled perfectly and directions are good. I coated with ting oil before assembly because wood was very dry. You should know that they seem to use scrap wood and so all pieces are not the same wood.     • Nice, comfortable chair, but not Oversized
This little chair is comfortable and beautiful and the wood is high quality. But in description it says it's "oversized" but it actually much smaller than my other Adirondack chairs. It's more like undersized and low to the ground. I like it but description is not accurate. Also, before buying consider the amount of time needed to build it (at least 90 minutes) and then you also have to stain it as well. But quality is excellent. ... show more
