this is nicely build, output louder than expected which is great. The only concern I had is that the CD lid seems a little hard to open, which I thought was a defect unit and replace but the 2nd one comes the same. So guess that's just how the lid opens, which I'm afraid I might break that, with that I drop a star for that. Otherwise, function wise is great and very solid build. ... show more

When I lifted the package, I thought, "It's too light." Well, light tho' it is, this little CD/MP3 Player & Radio has everything I need...and at just the right volume...neither head-banging high, nor hearing aid low. With the controls neatly arranged on the front of the player it's "sandbox" easy to use, and the sound quality is amazingly good for such a small, plastic-bodied unit.     • Radio worked, packaging and presentation showed tampering
This radio operates effectively, something I didn't expect when I first came in contact with the product box. Corners of the lid had been turned from the horizontal, the box had been taped shut. Inside, the unit or CD player radio had finger marks on it and was greasy in some places, the packaging was not secure in the way a manufacturer sends packages. The interior bubble pack protecting the unit had been sliced open halfway. The manual came in a printed form. It would be a useful feature to place an E-manual on line on the website. ... show more

    • BUYER BEWARE
This item was purchased prior to and for a July vacation that then had to be cancelled. I made sure everything worked when I received it, which it did, then put it away. I recently had an opportunity to use it sparingly over a few days time, when one day the buttons just stopped working even though the unit was receiving power as shown by a red 'Stand By' light on the unit. No matter what I did, I could NOT get any buttons to power on the display panel which would then indicate what function was in use. I am now out $$$$ because my return window is closed. Being on a limited income, there is nothing that I hate more than throwing my money away. This would NOT be the case if I had bought it from a brick & mortar store. I would have given this item zero stars but it isn't an option. ... show more

    • If you're buying this as battery operated...DON'T!
We bought this to take on a road trip to listen to CDs. It says it works with batteries as well as plug in. After putting batteries in it worked for about one CD length of time. I noticed the higher the volume it would shut off. Turned it back on and worked for about another song or two. Kept turning off. We plugged it in and it works fine but completely defeats the purpose of why we bought it. If you want this as a battery operated device do not buy. Its pointless because it just will continue to shut off. ... show more
