This product is just as advertised. It helps to gradually awaken. I love that it has two alarms that can be set for weekdays and weekends, as well as various sounds to choose from. There are 10 levels of brightness and volume. It was easy to set up and changing alarm settings is quick!

I love this so far. I will update once I’ve woken up to it for a week. I just can’t wait for tomorrow morning, waking up with the “sunrise”. The setup was so easy, the instructions were fantastic. I don’t know why it says for kids on here, might be a little tricky to set up. Or maybe not, kids these days are tech savvy. Even in my day the kids used to have to set the VCR to record, the parents had no idea. I love that I can set two alarms, one can be set for weekdays, and one can be set for weekends. This was a must for me, in my first sunrise alarm clock. I actually had the wood grain one in my cart ready to go, free shipping to my country, then when I tried to check out after making the total to required $49, it said it couldn’t ship to my country. So I will use this one for now, then upgrade to wood grain when I can affford US$20 shipping on top of the purchase price, and can pass this one on to my preschooler. I love that this one has all the same features, it’s just the aesthetic that’s not quite there. I mean it looks a lot better than my previous alarm clocks, and certainly has a lot more features. Even my white noise alarm clock, which is great but the worst ever to set. This pretty much replaces that, although that one takes cards, and this one is a bit short on sound options, I think there’s a barking dog noise, a bit odd, but whatever floats your boat. Anyway, it’s not like I’m going to see it much without the light on anyway. With the light on it looks a million dollars. It will do for me as a reborn student, at least until after graduation next year. The mood light is a really neat touch. The first option is a moody mixture of purple and blue shades, that moves and changes as you watch. Hard to describe but it’s very cool. It also has an FM radio, although I did an autotune and it picked up static as the first three stations, and I can’t see any way to delete those. But then I probably would stay on my preferred station anyway, so not essential. It also has a USB charging port at the back, I probably won’t use it, says not to use for high power items, not sure what that means. Can I attach my wireless phone charger? Could be good to free up a power point if I can. The time display appears kind of blurry, I guess because it’s behind cloudy, reflective plastic. It will probably look better at nighttime, probably look better on the wood grain model too haha. I like that the brightness of clock display can be changed, might change it to dim but I’m waiting to see what it looks like in the dark. At normal brightness, it is difficult to see while doing the setting for wake-up light brightness, in fact it becomes invisible at around 12 setting, and I chose 15. I like that it’s orange though, I saw a review on one with white clock display and it said that that wasn’t nice to look at at night. Yellow light is certainly better for sleep. ... show more

this is a long review so stay with me- i was going to get a Hatch and had added it to our wedding registry and no one purchased it i also found out you have to pay for their app in order to use most of the features, so after reading lots of reviews for similar products this one seemed like the best bang for my buck and i don’t need to rely on the app, blue tooth, or even electricity because it has a back up battery AND even if it does go out, i realized it keeps the set time and the alarms set!? i assume because of the back up battery? the aesthetics can use some updating- i got white because the grey would not match my room and wish they offered a fabric or wood look alternative so it didn’t look so… cheap? for lack of a better word. i saw this company offered a 2 pack with the grey one and a tan one but they didn’t offer it as an option for a 1 pack. so i stuck with white but wish it was prettier/ matched my room at least..it was hard finding a clock that was bright, pretty, and had all the features i wanted, but this one still looked nicer than i was anticipating (attached photos). next, this alarm clock has sooo many light settings, and quite a few soothing sounds like rain/water etc for night time use as well as a sleep timer- which i’ve used every night so far! i do believe the rain sounds could use some updating but i have an app on my phone for that too and just play them both honestly. i was looking at a similar clock the “momcozy” for that feature so was pleased when this one had it too. another great feature is that you can also dim the time on the face so it is darker at night !! the only down fall is you cant change what light setting you wake up to- it’s always the sun mimic yellow to bright white (but you can adjust the light brightness) i also saw another review that stated you cant wake up to the radio setting, but some how i did figure out how to make that feature work (or they updated the product) and you can indeed listen to the radio as the morning alarm! i had it further away, but moved it closer to me so even though i’m not getting out of bed to turn it on, the light is still bright enough to wake me up enough that i’m actually up!! it was a jump scare the first day but i knew what to expect the second morning around. that being said, i notice that when the clocks brightness/sun feature is in use in the morning IT DOESNT SHOW THE TIME- or if it does you just can’t see it ?? update that and this would easily be a 5star clock. ... show more

I think this is only the second review I have ever submitted on Amazon, but I’ve just been so pleased with this purchase. For the low cost of this unit compared to the big name ones, I’ve gotten the slow, bright sunrise effect and loud alarm that I was looking for. I especially like that there is a manual setting at the back that sets Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 separately to be your choice of Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, or 7-day. This means that I generally have my weekday alarm and weekend alarm active at all times. The display shows me that both are active and I don’t really need to think about it all week. The setup is surprisingly intuitive and customizable: for instance I was able to set it so that my weekend alarm snooze function will snooze the audible alarm and “the Sun,” but the weekday one leaves the Sun on while it gives me 9 more blissful minutes without the audible alarm. I also appreciate the ability to charge an extra USB-corded item through this and the ability to dim the time display to something extremely dim, or to make the display disappear entirely (but be visible when alarming).
