This rain-resistant formula is harmless to plants and animals when used and stored as directed. It works on scent, so deer and rabbits don’t even have to take a bite to be repelled. Because the animals’ natural aversion to this scent will never diminish, this product does not have to be rotated with other repellent brands.Shake these granules evenly around the treatment area and reapply every three to four weeks or after excessive rainfall. In areas where animal activity is intense, additional and/or heavier applications may be needed. Vegetation will be protected up to 24 inches in height – for protection above that height, spray Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Ready-To-Use2 instead. I've bought this product (both the liquid spray and the granules) numerous times. While it does seem to be mostly effective against rabbits, the consistency of the product is REALLY off. The first time I bought it, the smell almost knocked me on my butt! It was so strong that the morning after I sprayed and sprinkled it throughout my yard and beds, I could STILL smell it in the air! I swear the neighbors were not pleased either, and for days the scent lingered. The current batch BARELY smells of garlic and rotten eggs...it mostly smells like mildly unpleasant menthol. The scent is super weak and doesn't last nearly as long. So, I don't know what to say except for it seems like their quality control is WAY off. ... show more

Of course this stuff smells terrible. It’s supposed to! It has saved my veggie garden from the rabbits and deer destroying it for years and years. It’s the only “keep the critters away” product I use. Highly recommend!

Stuff seems to work fine to keep the deer away. IT WILL NOT KEEP YOUR DOG AWAY. Mine were obsessed with it and got to it when I was out of the house. My Rottweiler destroyed the tub and got the substance everywhere in my house. I’m currently living in a stinky nightmare. Keep this away from your dogs or you will be living in the seventeenth circle of heck trying to clean it up. ... show more
