The media could not be loaded. This camera is amazing! Super easy setup and install! I was a bit worried as my laser was not on the compatibility list, but it controls it perfectly! Camera and app are a very nice addition to the laser engraver/cutter, and the flame detection is beyond beneficial to have!! Took me about 2 mins to setup the laser, and connect it to their app, and about the same to connect it to the computer and lightburn! If you have a laser machine that uses lightburn, or is grbl native, then you want to get one of these!! Great value for the money! I may have to get a few more for.my other lasers!!! ... show more

    • Setup nightmare
Regret my decision to “upgrade” and get this camera instead of the SculpFun camera. It cost a little more but the quality is mehhh. Have yet to be able to have it function properly in light burn.

Overall good value for money for your lasering operations. I don't need to watch the laser complete and any time I have to walk away I can see it on the cellphone. Instructions are easy to understand and the camera resolution is pretty good. Thankfully have never yet used the flame detection feature but I have set it to on and helps give me peace of mind that I can leave the shop with the camera watching the laser operating. GRBL compatibility means I don't need to use the computer attached and can run the laser from the camera acting as the computer itself. Good product overall from functional perspective. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had the opportunity to test out the Lasercam from Mintion and found it to be a great addition to my setup. Setting up the camera with my phone was very easy using the included guide and instructions inside the BeagleEngraver app. I have a custom built laser engraver that uses the Comgrow 10W laser module and I wasn’t sure the camera would work to control my engraver since it was not listed on the supported engraver list but I had no issues at all. I also tested the camera with Lightburn and was up and running within in a few minutes. If you use an enclosure please be mindful of the height requirement for the camera based on the size of your work area. My work area is a little larger than what is supported by the manufacturer but I’m still very happy with this item. My plan is to build a larger enclosure in the future. This camera provides remote monitoring and control along with a flame detection system but don’t assume it’s safe to leave your camera fully unattended by leaving your home/office. My laser engraver is setup in my shop and I monitor it from my office that is connected so I’m only a room away. Also there are those times when you need to walk away from the machine for a minute or two and this camera and app allow you to do so while still keeping a safe eye on things. I also have my laser connected to a smart plug so I can kill the power instantly. If you’re looking for a camera for your laser that includes remote control, camera with built in video recording, timeplase and full Lightburn support, this is the right camera for you. So I was skeptical about this camera because I thought it was a high price for just a camera. But this thing is so much more! It has a high quality camera with color night vision, and a great mounting arm to get whatever angle you want, but my favorite feature is the fact that the camera is basically a pi and can talk to the laser controller and control it remotely from your phone or any other device. Then you can slice files from Lightburn and save the G-Code, and then upload it to the cameras app or website and hit go! No more being tethered to a computer. You can also use the camera as a light burn positioning and alignment Tool but that requires it to be connected directly to the computer. Still a great option but I run my printers and lasers in a separate room. ... show more
