  • With some effort can be added to Non-Liberty Safes
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
After seeing a review from another person showing they had modified their safe to fit this item I decided to give it a try and I am happy that I did. This is much better than building a custom solution. It took me about 1.5 hours - mostly because I was checking and re-checking all my measurements before doing any cutting. For those that might want to do the same on a safe without an existing knock-out, I will provide guidance on how I completed this (proceed at your own risk). 1. Determine where you want the inside unit to be, ensuring there is clearance around all sides. Mark the center. 2. Drill a 1/4" hole through the center from inside the safe 3. If you have a 3" hole-saw, use that to draw a circle on the inside fabric around the center hole. If not, use some sort of template. I printed a 3" circle in Word and used that as a template. 4. Cut the fabric around that circle 5. If you have a hole-saw, use it to cut out the drywall around the center hole. I did not have a hole-saw that big and used a box cutter. Took a while, but not impossible. 6. On the outside, put painter's tape over the center hole so it extends about an inch or two in all directions. 7. Center the outside bracket over the outside hole and trace the two screw holes and the inside 'knockout". 8. Using a drill bit the same size as the screw holes in the bracket, drill the two holes marked 9. Using a larger drill bit, drill the two opposing sides of the "knockout" 10, Using a Dremel with a cutoff wheel (for metal), cut out the remaining area of the "knockout". 11. Test fit the kit from inside the safe. If too tight, cut/file the hole a little bit bigger. The hole in the safe can be a little bigger than the knockout area since the bracket will cover it. Just try not to cut the narrow space between the screw holes and the knockout area. 12. Continue assembly as per the normal instructions. ... show more

  • Seems to work But
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
I think that Ive received a used product, or they dont include all the items that are shown in the instructions. As I'm missing Spacers. The actual outlets seem to work (the blue light turns on). Once I install this I'll update my review.

  • Easy To Install
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
It didn’t take long for me to install this kit in my new gun safe. You don’t need to be too mechanically inclined to install it. Works great.

  • Safe power access inside my safe!
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
My safe is made by liberty but rebranded, its a smaller version (18 gun safe). It had the plastic insert on the back with the small square hole to prep for install of this part. Watched a short video and install was very easy, fits tight and looks good. It does add an inch or so to the back of the safe, so flush up against a wall is not possible anymore. But I wanted a dehumidifier rod more that it sitting tight to a wall. ... show more

  • Decent Quality
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
Overall it's a good kit but there are a few things that could be better. I installed the kit in my new Liberty Centurion 18 gun safe. There are 4 different installation videos for different models of Liberty safes on their website. My safe didn't have the interior panel drilled out so I followed video #4. They are suggesting to use a 2 7/8 inch hole saw where the first problem appears. I challenge you to find a hole saw that size at Home Depot or Lowes. I can promise that you won't have any luck. I personally used a 3 inch hole saw which honestly worked just fine but not knowing that in the beginning cost me time and nerves. I read a lot of reviews about this Power & Media kit and noticed that people are claiming that the plastic housing is scratched and the kit smells like burned electrical components and it looks used. I inspected the kit at arrival and being a Manufacturing Engineer I have a different point of view. The electrical components are fine AND NEW, The plastic housing is not scratched but simply of inferior quality. It would've taken an extra step in fabrication of this part to make it look nicer. I'm assuming that the plastic part, if not the whole kit is made in China and money was saved in just not running the piece in a tumbler machine after injection molding. I personally don't think it's a big deal. You have to look closely to see the imperfections. The "burned electrical smell" is also coming from the plastic. It is gassing out. The smell will go away after a while. Some of our cheaper packaging components have the same exact smell. Long story short. There is no need to worry about hooking the kit up to power. The installation was fairly simple and took me about 20 minutes including vacuuming the inside of my safe after drilling. This kit is the cleanest way to run 120volt, a USB connection, an ethernet cable and the antenna cable for the SAFELERT monitoring device's antenna. I would definetely buy it again. ... show more

  • Easy install
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
Easy to install on a Liberty Safe set up for this. Tools needed are utility knife, screwdriver and depending on what safe you buy, a 2 3/4” or 3” hole saw and a drill. No drilling through metal required, only through fireboard from the inside of the safe. Directions are very good. Great design and option by Liberty that makes it hard to screw up while installing. ... show more

  • Convenience of a kit justifies price
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
2-3/4dia. Holesaw screwdriver, vacuum cleaner. Cutting through fabric and some layers of Sheetrock. Straight forward and easy project. Nice results. I installed a golden rod dehumidifier and a liberty led light kit . What a useful upgrade to my gun safe..

  • Quality control would be nice
Size: 9.5 x 6.2 x 9.3 inches
The first one I received was defective and tripped my GFI when I plugged it in. When I received the replacement the seal had been broken on the box and I found that one of the holes for the screws that hold the front to the back wasn’t open and I had to drill it out. On both units I received I noticed T he first time you plug something in is very hard to get it plugged in but after that it is easier. It OK but for the quality it should be at a much lower price point. ... show more
