LG is one of my most favourite brands for electronics. I have 2 LG TV s and another LG dvd player. They all work very well and I never have had any issues with them acting up or not working right. I am also pleased to say that the usual remote controls for the LG dvd players are horrible with little tiny buttons that are hard to press and slow to respond, did not come with this model. Plays my DVDs beautifully, it is slim and takes up very little space. Quality, no frills (wish it had a clock) excellent price. The same player was double the price at Best Buy.

    • Extremely dissatisfied with LG's warranty policy
I had this DVD player for less than a year, meaning it's still under manufacturer warranty. Yesterday, a lightning strike caused a power outage in my house and the device ended up non-functional (despite being powered off and plugged into a surge protector). I sent a repair request to LG stating this, and the next day I was told that LG does not replace items caused by "issues outside of human control or natural disasters." You would think that a company as huge as LG would be willing to replace a $33 piece of equipment. That is not the case, and I find that totally unreasonable and unfair. I bought this for my grandma (she take care of my son so is more for my son and nephews) and she was very happy with this. She have some DVDs and when I put how to train your dragon I upscale the image to 1080p and looks very beautiful. The control has tv program too so is pretty good dvd and tv in 1 controller. At the moment is working good. Any change I'll update later ... show more

Good product so far but it did stop playing for me. I took it apart and didn't really do anything but it has been playing ever since. There is no digital readout which makes it hard to know what is going on. But the player itself does a good job at a small price.
