I recently installed the Level Lock+ Connect Wi-Fi Smart Lock on my front door, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. My house, built in 1971, still has the original doors and hardware, so I wanted to integrate smart lock technology without having to replace any of the existing hardware. This lock did the job perfectly! The installation was straightforward, and I love that it doesn’t change the aesthetic of my original door. The matte black finish looks sleek, and the lock works seamlessly with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and other smart devices. I can now control my lock remotely, which is super convenient, especially with my two large dogs. Man, I so wanted to love this. No big key pad, looks like my old lock, AND it was in brass to match. The actual lock installs fairly easy but after that it is a nightmare. If you can get the app to connect to the lock, it never fully locks or unlocks. I followed the guidelines and all measurements were perfect. Yet it won't function. It was just an error message it wasn't completing the lock. Then the second piece for wifi access never actually connects to your wifi. It just says "updating". I had this system for almost 30 days with prayers I could get it, nope. It is almost the most expensive lock yet too - how can it not work??? Don't bother calling the Level tech support - ha! ... show more

Big fan of this product. Unlike the awkward versions with keypads, the Level Lock is activated by either Wifi or Bluetooth and fits in standard deadbolt locks. I have a big heavy wooden door that I didn't want marred by a clunky key pad, and this unit works beautifully.

I love this! Honestly, I had an older automatic door lock that I’ve had for almost 10 years and it finally started to give us some issues PLUS even though I paid $300+ dollars for it back then (which is a lot of money) it still didn’t have any connectivity or wireless capabilities after being mislead by my (at the time) alarm installer. So, needless to say, I was excited about this, especially since I’ve been doing a few updates around the house. The install was VERY quick and easy and I’ve installed other brands at my home and office. I would take this one ANY day over those based just off that. I was honestly surprised at the quality, but this lock so far is amazing. I love how easily I can open and close it plus my neighbors and no other visitors know that it’s a smart lock! ... show more

This is a great-looking lock that doesn’t look like the usual bulky smart locks. It also comes in polished brass, which was important to match the rest of my home. Too many other brands don’t offer that option. It was very easy to install, and even with my slightly questionable door from the very early 20th century, it works great. Using it with Apple Home Key works perfectly every time. I feel good knowing that I can use my phone if I happen to forget my keys, and I like having the ability to use a key in case the lock battery dies. I don’t think that will be a problem since it alerts you to the battery level through the app, and it’s extremely easy to replace the battery. The only problems I’ve had are with Apple Home integration and the touch-to-lock/unlock feature. Even with the Level Connect wifi bridge, frequently, the lock shows “no response” in the Apple Home app, but if I open it in the Level app and then check the Apple Home app, it’s back. I also get alerts from Apple Home long after a lock or unlock event has occurred, but I don’t know why. The touch feature has failed the last few times I tried it, I guess because the app doesn’t know my location at the moment I’m trying it or something. I can just tap my iPhone to the door and it locks/unlocks immediately, though. I wish Level had Thread in the lock rather than the Connect bridge. Wi-Fi has never been as reliable or fast for smart home devices as Thread, at least for me. I do recommend this lock and your mileage may vary with the issues I’ve encountered.
