I got this window film today and immediately went to work installing it on my window. It looks gorgeous. I got it because I live somewhere very hot and the light from this window would consistently wake me up before I was ready to get up. I have nothing to say on its ability to keep out heat as I've only had it installed completely for an hour, but installation for me was very simple and straight forward, as someone who's done this type of work before. For someone who hasn't, it may take a little bit to get used to, but I adore it. We shined a flashlight from the back of it after instillation and no light came through, which was exactly what I was looking for. I used a box cutter, an old gift card, and a spray bottle with water as well as a self-healing mat and a see-through sewing ruler to limit as much waste as possible. I still have about half the roll left and I'll be using it on my other window in this room tomorrow. I will likely buy this again or maybe a different design for the other rooms in my home if this proves to lessen the amount of heat coming through. As a privacy screen, this is perfect. At first I was disappointed because I underestimated the design's ability to cover up the crack on the window. But the film is so pretty at all times of the day, even at night, that I have no regrets. The picture is taken at midnight, although the real thanks should probably go to the moon And as a novice trying to put up film on a high up window, I'm pretty sure I left a lot of air bubbles in this thing. But it's been a week and it hasn't fallen off. So I think that's a valid testament to this film sticking on pretty well since half the films I've read reviews about have falling off issues ... show more

This was the answer to my need for natural light and privacy for my craft/sewing room which looks out onto my neighbor's kitchen and laundry room windows. Now I will leave my blinds up permanently. Spray the cleaned glass liberally with water to be able to move the product easily. I used my fabric cutting board, ruler and rotary cutter to cut the product. If you are unsure of your measurements, I would cut the product 1/2" to 1/4" larger on all sides and then cut away excess with a sharp cutting tool after applying to the glass. I just moved into my first apartment and my window is right above my really nosy and really loud neighbors patio, I don't want to be forced to keep my window covered all the time as I want some sunlight in my life lol. These are absolutely beautiful, I did struggle a little to get them perfectly aligned and cut but you can't really tell unless you're looking for it! I'm really satisfied and I love the little rainbows it creates. Super easy to install! I cut it approx to size, removed the plastic protective layer, sprayed the window, sprayed the film, stuck it on the window, smoothed out the bubbles with my library card, and once I got it mostly worked into its place I trimmed away the excess with a box cutter. TIP: have a wad of paper towel handy to wipe up the excess water that gets smoothed out. I also used my card to create a crisp bend in the film against the edge of my window and then ran the box cutter between my card and the wood. I had a pretty dull blade so I had to run it over the film twice to get it to cut all the way through. Larger sizes are pricey but it's a great product. I would buy it again if I needed any other windows covered! ... show more

It really does give you privacy without blocking the light. It is really pretty with the sun shining on it and it looks very nice. We put this on the door of our sunroom so we could have a little more privacy and it works great. I wouldn't say it is easy to install but then I'm not the handiest person ever. The adhesion works great when it is first used but once you remove the protective film off the back, I had trouble getting it to adhere to another window. ... show more

I like the fact that I don't have to put a curtain on my back door in my kitchen. I have privacy, people can't see in and then I don't have a glare coming in on the front door from the sun setting and I still have my privacy and it was easy to put together and it's still up
