  • Found the stove not worth the money, and dangerous, but got a refund very easily.
Material Type: Stainless Steel
Glass came cracked. Non insulated construction made for an uncontrolled burn, and leaking smoke. Expressed my concerns with the seller, and got my money back. Would be a nice product if you took the time to take it apart and seal it all up yourself. I don't recommend using as is out of the box. Take the time to seal it up with heat rated sealer and you'll have a nice little stove. ... show more

  • Flue pipes don't fit- too big, slide down. They made it right,Thank you
Material Type: Stainless Steel
First burn, three of the flue pipes do not fit, they are too big and slide down. I had to use a hammer to get some of the screws to fit because the product came unaligned. So far my glass was intact not sure if will last. Took a risk despite the bad reviews. Overall, it's my very first burn so I can't review long-term as far as the glass that I've heard is an issue. I thought it might be slightly longer so wood would fit easier... but, that's not as much an issue and it works really great for twigs and sticks found when camping. I can make do with less flue pipes but it's not ideal considering I do plan on using this for hot tent camping. It does put off a lot of heat and once it gets going it's a nice view. I would be much much happier if the flu pipes all fit because at this point I'm going to have to buy extra for camping purposes. I think if the company could fix minor issues this is a great great stove! Without a doubt it puts off a lot of heat which is what most people are using it for! Also, not the company's fault but Amazon shipped it to a company shed and did not follow shipping instructions at all, which was frustrating because I did not receive it in time. I have specific instructions to deliver to the home next to the shed/barn. ... show more

  • Junk. Junk. Junk.
Material Type: Stainless Steel
Glass came broken on the first one. Odd assortment of nuts and bolts to assemble it. Latch for door hard to open. Not the best product out there but it does work if you're lucky enough to get one that's in one piece. After getting a replacement tried it out. The damper is sloppy once the stove is warm. It would fall closer all by itself filling the tent with smoke. No lip on the front so hot coals and ash would fall out every time it's opened to refill. Stove pipes nearly impossible to fit together after first use. Cute stove but not at all functional. ... show more

  • This is NOT a beginners stove. NOT ready out of the box.
Material Type: Stainless Steel
I bought this knowing I needed to do a lot of work to make it safe. It has so much ventilation it gets glowing red hot when used as it is designed. There is no way to 'shut it down' to control a hot fire. In my experience, this stove is too dangerous to use in a canvas tent as it is straight out of the box. I ended up ordering some 2000° stove cement and wood stove door seal, the name is Window Tape, 3/4" wide. I did have to do some adjustments and shove it into the door more so it wasn't such a tight seal against the stove body. But it definitely worked to slow that ventilation around the door. I also took a rear baffle off to seal the holes that were behind it. I just used the remaining door Tape to cover those up. Then bolted the baffle back on. I also put stove cement onto the collar for the chimney and then bolted it into place. Wiping off excess with q-tips. So far the stove is better controlled with the intended vent on the far end. I am waiting on a shipment for a chimney damper. I will put it 1 stove pipe up so it will be easier to use instead of right at the stove top. As for the fitment of the stove pipe. They are numbered for a reason folks. #1 is first at the stove body. Then up to the final piece (#7). I just finished making a rain cap as the PNW gets a lot of rain. I used a engraving tool to etch the pipe numbers on permanently. Because those little stickers will not last. But knowing the pipe numbers will help make assembly easier in the field. To make a collar for said rain cap, take the #7 piece into a muffler shop. Ask if they can make a piece of pipe that will slide over the capped end. But not too loose. Not longer than 2 inches over the chimney piece. Have some fun completing your rain cap if this is a desired addition to your stove. (I used a hand grinder with a cut off wheel. My Dremel with grinding stone pieces to clean up edges. Some sheet metal cut into strips and cleaned up. A stainless steel pot lid. Drill and 1/8" drill bit. Rivets and appropriate rivet tool.) As for the heat coming off the bottom of the stove. It gets hot. The ground was super wet and it started to dry out some junk little pieces hot enough to start to smolder, in under 2 hours of its first use. I would recommend raising the stove up on bricks to keep it level and stable. The fire mats and other items will not stop a surface from buring under the stove. DO NOT recommend for use on a wood deck. DO NOT recommend for use in a nylon style tent. If sleeping in an enclosed space with any wood stove, make sure you have a CO2 alarm in your kit. Winter camping is not easy. There's a lot of work to go into it and still be safe. Cheaper gear increases that risk. This is a cheap stove. And it can really be unsafe if used as it is, out of the box. Pros: it really is stainless steel. For this, it is worth the purchase. Put in the work before its first firing... and it can be a good little stove. Cons: 1:TOO MUCH uncontrollable ventilation. 2:Either include or have a upgrade to purchase a chimney damper. 3:Legs are too short. 4:Needs permanent numbering for the chimney pieces. Not stickers. The numbers need to be stamped or engraved in. ... show more

  • The glass will probably come broken for you too!
Material Type: Stainless Steel
EDIT: Seller sent me a new glass, it came broke again.they sent me a refund for the glass EDIT: The customer service is great. Seller is working on correcting the problem. Bumping to 4 stars. Will edit again when I have an undamaged glass. The stove is alright for the money. Cute little dude. Gets hot!. I didn't expect a perfect fitting stove AND piping for less than $200, however, I did hope for undamaged parts. The glass is shipped in its stainless frame, amd the metal tabs that hold the glass chipped the glass in multiple locations. I'd be much happier if I were to receive a new glass!! ... show more

  • Everything worked great but missing one part.
Material Type: Stainless Steel
I assembled this nice little stove and everything works great. Glass wasn’t broken and it was wrapped up good. However I received two 90 degree pipe elbows and it was supposed to be a 90 and a 45. I could’ve really used the 45 for my purposes and apparently you can’t request it you can only do a return on the entire stove. You can’t buy this type of pipe at any brick and mortar store as I’ve looked everywhere. Keep in mind the pipe is numbered and for good reason. They’re not all the same exact size and varies greatly from #1 to #7. I seen many folks saying the pipe didn’t fit so perhaps it didn’t come with numbers like mine did. Hope that helps the next person. ... show more
