I used batteries instead as my intended use was a nightlight for my 92 year old mom in the bathroom. Batteries didn't last long at all. This cloud light is a fun and affordable piece of decor. I got this for my bf's tween daughter's room makeover, and it was a perfect touch of whimsy. The only thing I don't love is that there is no switch, so it has to be unplugged to turn it off. Otherwise, she loves it and can't wait to turn on all the lights when she's here :) ... show more

We haven’t even had it a month and the plug-in part stopped working and yes you can use batteries but they die after about 3 days if the light is on a lot and who wants to buy batteries constantly - not me. Just be warned.

I've got a reindeer, an angel, and a Christmas tree. They are going to look great in my front windows this holiday season. These USB powered units are perfect for continuous nightime displays; no batteries needed. This new type of LED construction looks a lot like bent neon tube, which is MUCH more expensive. Each unit uses just 220 milliamps of safe, 5 volt USB powered current. Get some good quality USB chargers and you won't have to turn off your Christmas lights when you leave the house. DOES NOT COME WITH REMOTE. I expected a remote but they didn’t even send one and the material is a little cheap and the wires are confusing. Also the box came damaged so not happy about that.
