After many years the enamel on the bottom of my dutch oven was starting to get a little rough and was no longer as easy to clean as when I got it 10+ years ago. The outside was also a little dull. Enamel is glass. It can be scratched but it can also be polished. This stuff is the polish. It took some elbow grease but now the inside and outside of my oven are like new. The outside is possibly better than new. This product contains a very fine and very hard abrasive. It will produce a clean and smooth finish but it will take some work on your part. I am very good at cleaning my Le Creuset with soap, water and baking soda. From time-to-time the interior get a bit yellow, and this stuff cleans it up quickly without damaging the enamel.

I had debated about my need for this cleaner when I got a LeCreuset Dutch oven for Christmas. I read the reviews that some just used Dawn dishwashing liquid. I was doing the same with good results, but I went ahead and ordered this cleaner along with the recommended scrubber. I put it under the sink and didn’t use it because Dawn was working well. Then, after making a beef stew, and cooking it for a few hours, slowly, there was a stubborn stain on the bottom that I couldn’t get off with the Dawn, even using the LeCreuset scrubber. So I put a bit of this cleaner on it and the stain came right off! Considering that I’ll only use this product occasionally, and not as my main cleaner, I’d say it’s worth the price, and should last a good while. ... show more

This cleaner is not inexpensive and honestly I thought I would be sending it back, BUT, it really worked. I just recently bought another LC dutch oven and wanted to be sure to keep it looking like new, as much as possible. On a whim, I used this cleaner on my several years old dutch oven that was showing a bit of wear and it cleaned it like new without much elbow grease. I was surprised and very impressed. My daughter in law recently complained about the stains in her ceramic coated iron pot. She was about to throw the thing away or give it away. I told her to give it to me and let me see what I can do. I did some research and came across this product. It took a little bit of elbow grease, but the results were impressive. I've been trying to remove stains from my Le Creuset for years. I've tried Bar Keeper's Friend and several homemade mixtures that include rubbing alcohol, baking soda, salt...you name it. Nothing has taken off the dark spots on the exterior of the pots. This product took a little bit off. It strikes me as a product for brand-new Le Creuset, not stained cookware.
