I have a 2002 car (yes, it's over 20 years old) so obviously there isn't a BlueTooth connectivity built in. No USB port either. So to go hands-free on my phone, I have to deal with aftermarket BlueTooth devices. I have one that plugs into my cigarette lighter socket and plays through the stereo, however, you have to tune into a specific station and cannot listen to other stations if you're connected. And it's always on so if you answer your phone and don't need it hands-free because you're using earbuds instead, you have to select the other option since your phone will connect to BlueTooth first. This, however, is different. It doesn't connect through the stereo. The speaker is built into the device. So I already like it better. This means that I can use it to get directions on my phone but still play music on the stereo. And the speaker is really decent. No static (like the radio) and the sound is clear. To me, it's like any smart speaker for your house. I can play music off my phone via a streaming app and while it doesn't sound as good as my car's speakers, I can't find fault with it. It can pick up talking without the device needing to be directly in front of you. I leave mine clipped to the passenger side visor and it hears me just fine. And so far, I haven't needed to recharge it. Mind you, I haven't used it for hours yet, but maybe an hour here, an hour several weeks later. The initial setup was easy. And now, I only need to turn it on and it effortlessly connects to my phone. When I play music from my phone, it automatically plays in the device rather than making me choose where to play it, which comes in handy when you're driving and shouldn't be messing with devices and phones. I'm very happy with the quality and function. I've been using this in my car for a month now. The battery lasts a very long time without recharging (several weeks, used while commuting). I leave the speaker on all the time and my phone reconnects automatically when I get in the car. It's easy to use and way less expensive than paying for a car stereo installation. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Bluetooth works well in car but audio is not loud enough for car so I modified it. I disconnected the two built-in speakers and wired in an audio out 3.5mm jack to one of the speakers. Also, removed the built-in microphone and added a regular car microphone connected to a 3.5mm jack. So now I can connect it to my car’s stereo’s aux port and put the mic by my steering wheel on the dash. My car stereo is nice and carplay works well but Bluetooth phone calls were horrible. Tried Bluetooth to aux but those don’t seem to work well since I can’t ever hear the person on the other end. This works well but didn’t have aux out and external mic. This modification allows me to keep this device under the center console and out of the way. ... show more

This puts my Garmin to shame. It connects to my phone so easily. The sound is clear and has a lot of volume. It is also nice looking with a cord that is long enough to work nice.

    • So far I'm very pleased with this Bluetooth speaker
I like that this Bluetooth speaker came with directions, & as I recall it was quite easy to Pair with my 3+ year old Google Pixel phone. Since clipped to the driver side visor in my car, I like that the Battery in it is lasting a lot longer than a smaller cheaper Bluetooth speaker of a different brand I had prior, which I also bought from Amazon, & I had to buy a New Bluetooth clip-on speaker cus my Prior one QUIT working after just 2 years. I also like that This Blue tooth speaker usually turns on & Connects to my cell phone as soon as I get in my car. So I'm quite pleased with it, & its sound clarity & quality on my end so far is clear and good.👍😊 ... show more

    • Did not work properly
The speaker worked fine when I first paired it in my house. It played the music from the music app which is why I purchased it. The sound was a bit tinny. I left it on and it played fine in the car. When I got out of my car, I turned it off because I didn't want it to pick up any calls while I was inside. When I got in my car again and turned the speaker on, it made the pairing sound, but it would not play my music app. The music was still coming out of my phone. I tried to play the music through my Bluetooth earpiece and it would not play through that anymore either. It took me 2 days to realize that I had to uninstall and reinstall the music app, unpair and pair my earpiece, and then restart the phone. Then the music app played fine through the earpiece again. This was too much trouble for me. I saw the good reviews but didn't pay much attention to the bad reviews. This was my first Bluetooth speaker and the instruction manual was vague about how to operate the speaker. I don't recommend this item. ... show more

I have no idea how to get this to work. Tje instructions are small and inadequate. I do not know what voice commands to use and it does not male calls for me so I must not be using the right commands but instructions are lacking!
