Very powerful but not too noisy. Love having the remote and also enjoy that is has a smaller ranger of motion so I get more air than other fans. The timer is great so I can leave it on for my dog while I am away and know it will shut off. The sleep mood is nice, but I tent to use the timer feature more for sleeping. I set a goal not to use air conditioning to lower my electric bill. This fan was the only reason I was able to manage it. It circulates the air very effectively and kept my living room and kitchen cool when placed by an open window. The height allows for air to move in the airs where it will mostly hit people standing or sitting nearby aiding in cooling them. The fan is sturdy and was not knocked over once by people or pets even when the zoomies hit. Fast assembly meant it was out of the box and working within minutes of its arrival. Even the low setting on this fan is pretty powerful, and it really helps to cool a room down. But it isn't exactly quiet, and the green LED on the front isn't great for a bedroom. If you want white noise and have a bit of electrical tape to cover the LED, it could work well for sleeping (although you have to be careful how you position the tape because the remote control sensor is right next to the LED). But in general, for a quieter option, I'd go for the Honeywell QuietSet, even though the newer models are a lower quality build compared to the ones from a few years back. ... show more

First one lasted a long time, but it didn't put out a lot of air and the plastic made a lot of squeaky noises when moving the fan around. Used to wake my daughter up when moving the fan. This new one seems remodeled. It puts out a lot of air and is still just as quiet. They also made the plastic not squeaky when moving it around and pressing the buttons. ... show more

This fan puts out a lot of air, very quietly. It doesn't significantly interfere with the sound of the television. The display panel looks very classy and high tech, and illumination turns off after a few seconds so there's no light to bother you in a dark room. The only negative thing I can say about the fan is the mount for the remote control is very insecure and the remote falls off very easily when the fan is moved. But having said that, this fan is really nice, even better than other Lasko fans I have. I would happily buy it again (and will!). ... show more

This fan blows air quietly and has lots of bells and whistles that other cheaper fans do not. A breeze to assemble, too. The wood grain blends in nicely with our MCM sunken den's paneling. Highly recommend!

I bought two of these fans a year or two ago and they have been great. Still completely silent. The new one I just received doesn't match them in appearance. The plastics used seem different (back panel feels cheaper) and I hear what sounds like a sloppy bearing when the fan is running. I'm going to let it run for a while longer before deciding whether or not to return it. It isn't extremely loud but is significantly louder than the original fans I purchased as they make no noise. Though my real concern is that the bearing will fail. It seems like this is another situation of a company value engineering the value right out of the product. ... show more
