It's a lasko so of course it's amazing. It's quiet, you almost forget it's on. It cools my room which is pretty big. It also has a timer setting if you don't want it on for extended periods of time. The oscillating feature has great range as well. Definitely worth my money, I will be buying more.

Still works great after 6 years! We've had some minor issues that weren't deal breakers for us. So, nothing worth returning or replacing. 1) We've had the base come apart a few times (not broken, just needed reassembled/screws tightened), but with kids, accidental knock overs are unavoidable. 2) The remote is not a traditional remote shape, but probably great for someone with hand dexterity issues. Definitely use compressed air or similar to clean it. Works so much better than a vacuum alone. We had a different brand before these, and one fall, and it broke. These Lasko fans (we have 2) have survived during year-round use. ... show more

    • I really like this fan but wish it had an auto shut off feature when tipped over.

I bought this fan in the cooler months and forgot about it until recently. I try not to turn on air conditioning until I really, really have to but I do like some cool air circulating when it gets warm in the house. I pulled out this fan a week ago and I love it. You have to put the bottom part together which takes a minute and then you're all set. You can use the remote control but I don't. The fan is tall and lean, not like those huge wind tunnel fans that take up a lot of space. You can oscillate the air or keep it steady, there are three settings for air flow, and there is a timer which works wonders when you want to just leave the fan on for an hour or two and have it turn off. The air it puts out is good. Not wind tunnel good but nice for warm days or evenings. The sound is like a fan. It isn't super quiet but it isn't any louder than any other fan I have had. I like the sound of fans at night so I am not upset that it sounds like a fan! I just wish that this were just a little better made. While everything works, it feels a bit flimsy. It also does not have an automatic shut off feature when it tips over or falls and I really wish it did. I have pets and this is not the most sturdy fan. My cat ran by it and brushed against it and the fan tipped over. It didn't stop working and I wish it had. Other than that, I love this fan compared to the round ones. It takes up much less space and has some features many others don't. It works as it is supposed to with or without the remote. I want to buy another one but the price went way up since I bought the one I have. I'm not sure it is worth nearly $50.00. I paid $29.00. I will watch for a drop in price then snatch another one up. It's not going to blow you away but it will keep you cool when the room you are in is too warm for comfort. ... show more

Absolutely love this fan. It’s actually quiet regardless of the speed. Love how quick the temperature drops after mere minutes of being on. It’s actually lightweight and easy to put together. The remote settings is as simple as the controls on the fan.

I needed to replace our old fan in our bedroom. This one is such an improvement to our old one, which was a similar style. The wife likes it because it is slimmer, and I like it because its quieter. For the money, its a good buy!

I would not purchase this fan again. The quality and features of the fan are much lower than I expected. For context, my comparison is a Holmes tower fan that I already own. PROS: The fan is quiet and relatively inexpensive. CONS: The fan is not sturdy. For example, the base is not one unit. It is two pieces of plastic that you must assemble. The oscillating feature is a joke; it moves slightly to the left, then slightly to the right. My Holmes fan oscillates a full 180 degrees. I therefore especially do not recommend this fan if you are trying to cool an entire room. The remote is large and clunky. My Holmes remote is the size of a credit card. When you use the remote to change the speed of the fan, there is no indication that you were successful in doing so. My Holmes fan beeps, indicating that the adjustment has been made. ... show more
