    I'd like to get into cut and engrave as hobbie. After some researching, I settled with LP4. No prior experence though I find it is easy to learn. Pro: - The design software is easy to learn. Its able to auto trim/remove backgrounds. Able to convert image to vector graphics. (LP4 only able to cut with vector graphics) - The machine construction and feel is solid. - The head is deatchable, which let you cut or engrave hard to reach spot. I also think it does those rust removal trick, but I have not yet experiment with that. Con: - The machine itself has bluetooth capability but it only works with cell phone app. The software on the computer needs USB cable to function. (A separate Bluetooth USB dongle for the PC is needed from LP) - The included design software is easy to learn, but its functions are limited. If advanced editing is needed, other 3rd party software is required. Some of them are hard to learn. ... show more

    The media could not be loaded. 1st I can tell you , it dose work with light burn. Light burn directly to LP4 . Without the lp4 app ! Yes it dose …. The design space app, works well on my iPhone and iPad . The size of the memory, inside the LP 4 . is big enough to accommodate, a complex picture. I find that I like have, mixed feelings about the table . I like that it can be removed, to mark on large objects . That can not be on the table .one can simply put it on the object, under the LP4 and mark upon it . But I don’t like how easy it is to remove it . <too easy> how ever it dose go right back in ! The LP4 is supper portable unlike my 80 watt fiber laser . Set up and using, it out of the box. I found it easy to assemble. The design space app is simple to use . One might need to look at the video, for use of the app. For a overview for a pointer or 2 . Most common mistakes made are . Failure to remove the lens cap. It. I am guilty mini times of this . How ever at least I put the lens cap back on it ... show more

    The media could not be loaded. Takes up so little space, yet does so much! This can be used to engrave and etch so many different materials. You download an app and it walks you through it all. They also have some wonderful tutorial videos on everything from set up, to the actual engraving. It also can cut wood with a cutting plate (not included). Make sure you take the lens cover off for the magnetic shield to attach. I had a difficult time because I didn't know it needed to be removed first. This really is an amazing little machine.       • Very easy to use - more support resources could be added - better iOS app

    The machine is very easy to assemble and use. In 30 mins I had it assembled and had done my fist (test) engraving. The app for iOS is not as advanced as it is for Android. Since engraving in different materials is a lot of trial and error on the parameters, LP could do much more to make resources available based on inputs from all the users. I think creating an easy to access / easy to contribute master database would be great and a big asset. You can research in Google or look for videos in YouTube but is time consuming and is really driven by YouTube creators and not the company itself. So really good equipment.     I Really like the LP4 product, comes well packed. Overall I really like the LP4, fits the bill for most materials I would like to engrave. The only issue is a more specific tutoring on how to use the machine as I am a beginner. Even YouTube offers no real detail on set up, aligning and calibration and how many passes are needed for some materials. Took some play time to figure things out on my own. Even so I love this Product and look forward to many years of usage. ... show more

    I had the first one and I loved it, it was easy to use but was kind of too small, this one is a perfect size and woks great only thing though is it takes a little getting used to but once you get used to it it’s smooth sailing

      • Fun and Easy!

    This is a super fun and easy way to jump into laser cutting and etching. I have years of experience with everything from small watt hobby lasers up to 10kW sheet lasers and this is by far the most fun to mess with. So far I have only been using the app version software on iOS and it is amazing how much it can do! It's a quick Bluetooth connection and the files download quick to the laser. So far I have etched my company logo on stainless steel square tubing, mild steel flanges, aluminum discs and even on a breakfast pastry when someone walked by and asked what that machine was I was playing with. The real reason I bought it was to laser etch part numbers on stainless square tubing. I'm beyond thrilled with the samples I have been able to produce so far! ... show more

    I am new to engraving and was able to create my first engraving without the tutorial! It's very user friendly! I can't wait to really get in to it and learn the actual ins and outs so I can create all sorts of items! I just connected via bluetooth, picked out my design and sent it to the Laser 4. It did the rest. I had to experiment with depth, but other than that, it was great for a beginner such as myself! I totally recommend this product for beginners as well as experienced designers. ... show more
