This review is for the 19 ounce size of the filter water bottle. The quality of the bottle is obvious, and it keeps liquid cold. The complaints of it being difficult to draw up the water through the straw are somewhat valid, but after a week I'm completely used to it. The liquid IS being drawn up through a good filter, so I would expect a little resistance. As far as the filter taking up space in the bottle. I measured out the space to be about 3 ounces. Once I knew it could overflow, I just leave the filter in while filling and watch the top. No overflows since accommodating in this way. For someone who lives between camper and boat, this filter has made me feel safe drinking water from tanks that cannot be easily cleaned out. Love it and my model I bought is amazing. Only problem is I need a 1 gal bottle model. I drink a lot of water. The water I pour in from my water bottle purchase at Costco turns in to the best water I drink with your product. It transform my water to the point I keep pouring more in it. I can't get enough. I wish I bought a bigger bottle from your company and someday I will. My bottle I bought is good but I hope someday that your new product would have a fill gauge and a silicone sip cover with a whole due to on my end I bite in to sip. ... show more

    • The version with the filter is not easy to use.

Pros: it filters well and looks nice and feels sturdy and high quality. Cons: A couple of things I don’t like about this bottle, it is not easy to figure out how much to fill the water as the filter is bulky and misplaces some when you put the lid back on the bottle. It is not an issue if you are at home but if you are on the road, you will have to have something to wipe it dry every time you refill it or just refill it half the way. Probably not an issue for most people, but I don’t like sticking wet bottle into the pocket of my backpack. The second and main problem is, the force you need to use to suck the water out through the filter, it is not easy, you have to put in some work to get a little bit of water every time. It honestly gives me headaches. I still carry it with me just in case if I end up in places with questionable water, but trying to avoid using it when possible. ... show more

I got this bottle to use on a trip. Overall it worked well for what I was looking for. It has an in-line filter to improve the water’s flavor. Hard plastic nozzle that neatly folds into the cap. Double wall steel inside. The filter (as expected) adds some resistance when sipping, but if you don’t care for the filter you can remove it. Does a good job letting you drink entirety of the bottle, the straw/filter goes all the the way down. I liked that the nozzle is easy to clean. Since it’s hard plastic you can wash/rinse it well. I love the idea of filtered water and I do believe the system works……but the filter portion takes up a good portion of the 17ounce bottle I purchased. I run out of water very quickly and I’m not always in a place to refill. Also, when filling it, I cannot see where to fill to, therefore when I put the filter in……water over flows everywhere. Had I known I would have purchased the larger one. A lot of money to be disappointed. ... show more
