The Machines Highly Efficient Compressor Makes The Cold Water Crisp And Ice Cold At Approximately 47° F Without The Need Of Adding Ice Cubes To Your Drink. The media could not be loaded. I am so delighted with my Avalon Water Dispenser! I was tired of purchasing plastic water bottles and needed a better solution for drinking water in my home. I have been shopping around for the right water system and decided to purchase this one. It has been one of the best decisions made since moving in. Here are some of the benefits I am able to experience from my water dispenser. It has 3 water temperatures to select from: Hot, cool, and cold. the cold water is nice when you want to have ice cold water and the cool is more of a chilled temperature. I originally thought it would be room temperature, however it is chilled. I especially like the safety feature of the hot water. I have god children that visit and I can easily turn off use of the hot water feature from the back of the dispenser when they come over. The dispenser boast several additional features that I enjoy like a night light which turns on easily from the back left side. I utilized this just last night as I got up to get a glass of water and didn't have to turn on any lights to do so. Other features I like is of course the bottom loading water feature, which eliminates any chance of accidental spills and heavy lifting. I was able to easily do it on my own with very little effort. For the water dispenser to do so much with regard to different temperatures, it is very quiet. One of the best features is just how easy it was to start using it straight from the box. I only had to position it, place the drip tray in position, add my filled 5 gallon water bottle and plug it in. As a bonus the drip tray has a red floater ring in the middle that will serve as your guide when there is too much water and time to empty it. A totally useful low tech solution I like! Special note for hot and cold water is to turn the switch in the back right side to the on position which is in the “I” position not the “O” position. It takes no time at all to start enjoying both the hot and cold water. Here is another special note: When you switch on the hot water button in the back, you will see a green light in the front. That means the water is not ready and when the light is gone, you are ready to enjoy your hot water. I point that out because I thought it was a little confusing to not see the light as a way to know it is now ready. One thing to note that some may be wandering is that it does not come with a water bottle. The dispenser can support either a 3 or 5 gallon water bottle. I decided to go big and use a 5 gallon. I recommend having a spare on hand for easy refills without interruptions. I highly recommend The Avalon water dispenser and know you will too. ... show more

This water cooler is amazing very high quality material and design, the hot, cool and cold options are perfect the long metal bar that goes in the 5 gallon cooler is perfect and gets all the water up. Our last water dispenser stopped working after using for four years. That was a top loader and started to get harder for me to put on top. I'm not a young strong person anymore, I'm 59. So the bottom loaded is such a blessing for me. Easy to use. I like hot water and the hot water dispenser part works well. Doesn't take long to get hot water and works great for the tea that I drink. I have a fridge that can do filters, but I wanted to get large bottles of reverse osmosis water with that fresh crisp clean taste and never have to worry about changing filters etc. This unit at the room temperature button has the water I think cooler than the room. With the cold setting, it keeps the water VERY cold! Same with the hot setting, the water will come out VERY hot (may be very close to it could burn you). I do not use the hot setting, but you could use it to make hot tea and steep it very easy, it gets that hot. I love you can turn the cold or hot setting off, so it does not use energy to heat or chill the water. It keeps a good deal in the tank inside, but pumps to fill it every time you get water. But, if you run the bottle dry, you will have a gallon or more left inside the tank. The only thing I WARN you about, is the back drain plug, when I got mine, it had a pin size hole and leaked but so slow I did not know that and days later because I had it on a door mat in the Kitchen, it had water under the mat and caused damage to my tile floor. The tiles are now lose there, and it was fine the prior 15 years. I now have this over a water proof silicone drying mat I got on Amazon, so if it leaks again I can see it before it piles up and it will not get on the floor. The size I got is (Amazon ASIN B0BNMWTXMH) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNMWTXMH 16"x12" and it fits just right. The plug had a pin hole sized hole in the center of it, but I did not see it and it leaked very slow. I fixed it buy putting plastic wrap over it all and then found a iron plumbing end cap at the hardware store than I screwed on over it. It has held up and not leaked for months since then. But, be sure when you get this, that you look at the back for days for any small drops of water. If it leaks slow, you will not notice right away, but then one day you have water damage on the floor under it. ... show more
