I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to pick up one of those 5 gallon water jugs but it is not easy. Using the top loading water dispenser means having to put one of those over my shoulder anytime we need a refresh to keep drinking water. I've been using this just over a week after switching to a machine with a built-in coffee maker. I very much prefer this one. It's sturdy. I like the boxy design because it doesn't wiggle, if that makes sense. The bottom loader is always a plus. I have back pain, so it's a must. I like that the top is flat because it lets me put stuff on top. The cold water gets really cold, which is great on hot days, but most of the time, I prefer room temperature. I purchased this about a month ago and it was just what I needed. Prior to purchasing this water dispenser I was going through a case of water weekly. I don't recycle much and I was looking at how many bottles of plastic I was throwing away and felt I could do better so I got this. I love the 3 temperature options! The cold water is the perfect type of cold (for me). It's comparable to the cold temperatures in most soda dispensers in restaurants/stores. The room temperature is just that (which I also like) and the hot water is perfect! I'm a big loose leaf tea drinker and the water is spot on...... no more boiling nor using my electric kettle. I use 5 gallon water jugs and I replace it about once a week. I saw some reviews about the noise, it's not loud at all. It's primarily quiet. The only time you'll here noise is when it's chilling the water, almost like a refrigerator. I don't even notice. The price was perfect, installation was easy, and it looks nice in my kitchen! Pro: three water temperature to chose. Fill the glass quick. Con, no night light. Little bit louder than the other unit. I ordered sparkling water from Costco. The plan includes a rental of their water machine. First one break down within a year. The company send refurbished one to me later which breaks down every two years more or less. Of course I have to pay for the rental. Finally I am tired to pay the monthly fee for some used unit and return it. This machine been in my house for a month now. We got our city's water report in the mail and found it was not as good as we thought it was. We immediately started looking into water filters and pitchers. After looking at the faucet filters and pitchers, one of our friends recommended looking into a water cooler. I liked this one because we didn't need one with a bunch of bells and whistles. I also wanted a bottom loading one because my husband and I are both older and have various health issues, so lifting a 5 gallon jug of water that weighs 42 pounds would be nearly impossible for us. This water cooler is easy to assemble, tucks into a corner neatly, the cold water is wonderfully cold (I will only drink subzero water) and the hot water is amazingly hot. I use it frequently for oatmeal in the morning. It's not loud, the buttons are on the top so our dogs can't flood the kitchen (YouTube videos and my sister's cat stories made that a feature we were looking for) and the hot water button has a locking mechanism for children's safety. Replacing the water jug is stupidly easy, my 11 year old can do it. We've just been buying replacement jugs of water from Kroger, but are looking into a delivery service. I purchased this water cooler for multiple reasons... first off to free up space inside my fridge being taken by water containers, also to stop having to tip a 5 gallon jug over to fill smaller containers and lastly to have a unit that has a bottom feed setup. This unit works fantastic and looks great. I don't use the hot water feature but instant cold water is a must for me. The unit seemed a little noisy at first and I reached out to BRIO customer service and they had me do a reset that's, not in your manual and OMG! it worked... The unit is quiet as can be and I absolutely LOVE IT !!! PS If you would like a unit you can adjust the cold water temp Series 430 and I think 450 will allow you to do that. This unit does not but I'm ok with that because I use ice anyways. ... show more
