If you are looking for a silver/gray hair L’oreal S1 smoky silver is it! It gave me an all over even hair color although my hair base had several shades. First photo show my bleached hair because I constantly dye my hair and have to bleach my roots every 3-4 month my hair base had different shades. 2nd photo is my hair after I used Adore 155 pelatinium, literally it was a disaster my roots got this ugly yellow color, and the rest of my hair got half purplish blue and the bottom part of my hair got silver/yellow. I had to use hair dye remover but it turned my hair pink!!!!!! Unbelievable. But after that I applied L’oreal S1 and as you can see in my last photo, I got this beautiful result even with my bleached hair was a disaster ... show more

I began my white/silver haircolor journey 2 years ago. I successfully went from black to white in a series of lighter shades and finally getting my hair cut very short, a pixie actually. I liked the cut and it was short enough to achieve the desired white shade. I kept to this shade for nearly a year and gradually as my hair grew out I wanted to change the color from white to pale silver. I kept up with that for a little over 6 months. One more haircut and style later. Now it’s all one length in a bob. I tried the Smokey silver by L’Oréal. It’s great for me. The quality is very nice. I like subtle changes by sticking with similar colors from one group. The black was a result of color build up that I never want to repeat again. This Smokey silver does fade after a month of washing so I’ll be coloring soon. I’ve used bleach London for extreme lightening but I like the gentler color solution that L’Oréal provides. ... show more

Not much to say. It’s just a regular hair dye, but the color is beautiful. It fades away with every wash which I like because my hair goes from being kind of purple to a lighter purple/pinkish and then it stays blond for a while until I dye it again.

This is the perfect shade of pinkish-purple that I could never seem to find until now. I have blonde hair as a base so you can see this particular color really well on it, but I can't say what it looks like on darker hair. As with all fashion colors, it doesn't last super long. You might still have a bit of a hue after a month, but you'll definitely need to re-dye it to get that saturation back.
