One of the best things I've ever gotten myself for the kitchen. Use on a daily basis. Knives are easy to clean and store. I always know where the right knife I need is located and the scissors are very handy. Would make a wonderful guest for anyone that cooks a lot.

    • Good starter knife set
This is a nice starter set if you’re looking to have a simple collection of the most often used knives on hand in your kitchen. They’re sharp, very sharp, and they are of a one-piece design, the main reason I ordered them. I thought they would probably last a long time because of this and look super cool in the kitchen being all white and sleek. I liked that they had a set of six steak knives along with kitchen shears, and an assortment of knives commonly used in the kitchen. Also the wood block is substantial in weight with a non-skid feet on the bottom. My only complaint is that they are light - too light, as the handles are hollow, and they have an insubstantial feel in the hand. And they “clank” like a piece of hollow metal would do when set down on the counter or against each other. I didn’t realize how much this would bother me, but it does. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned and unwilling to adapt to new-fangled things, but these just don’t feel like knives should. Sorry. But they do what kitchen knives should: cut, slice and chop easily. ... show more

Everyone lives a good knife set. This set has it all- every knife you would need in a home kitchen, shears, a sharpening rod, and a beautiful sturdy block that keeps them all safe and secure (and looks quite handsome displayed on my stove!) I used to pride myself on having sharp knives. Then I received this set and realized what sharp truly is. Please use these with caution- VERY SHARP! As a direct comment on that, the knives are shipped with 3 layers of protection against cutting or poking. Thank you to the manufacturer! Each knife is a single piece of metal covered in a powder-coated type of material. Smooth, beautiful, easy to clean, BUT difficult to hold onto! Especially when wet. The handles also feel like they are hollow, throwing the balance off a bit. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy using them. They just need to be used carefully by someone familiar with using edged tools.
