This can opener works really well but is slower than a plug in electic can opener, probably because the lower powered battery motor needs to be geared-down more. It does make a really nice, safe cut so less risk of cuts to fingers. We like that removed lids can be placed back on the can if contents are only partially used for short term refrigerator storage. ... show more

He is so simple & easy to use! I saved shelf space. He goes around the can & unlike ypur typical openers this one won't stop once they make a full rotation. You'll have to manually stop it.

I bought this hopping it would not cause my hand issues to be aggravated and in pain Surprise it is more awesome than I hopped.. After first two uses to open a can of beans and some tuna, i was in love Yes w/ an opener!!!!! It is awesome. Yes it is battery operated and it has opened bigger cans and smaller cans magnet holds and push one button an it spares the can from the lid no mess nothing getting I the tuna water It did not come with batteries but not a weird size you have a hassle to get. works perfect an yes it it is great. I have noticed some issues with reg old hand crank and whee to put the big electric one but yes I was excited and it exceeded all expectations. I love this can opener💜💜💜💜!!!!!! Best ever an I got during prime day so it wound up being Les then an old can can opener. turn can opener great at any price if you need and or hate the turn can opener at 19.99 and up to thirty bucks. It is stabil , will spin just using the one finger to press the button one When it done use a paper towel or am of a life and you could replace if need be. I got red. Would have loved purple. I thought I already wrote a review, but I have time on my hands with little to do. We use an old manual wall mounted can opener with the ubiquitous crank. It does well some of the time. I read about this one and decided to give it a try. It takes two batteries. No big deal. The first time I tried it, it took about two minutes to open the can. I couldn’t tell if it was done as it didn’t quit going around the can. I pressed the button and it went backwards and stopped. The lid came off like it showed in the video. That was pretty cool. This is good for opening cans if you are not in a hurry. If you’re opening cans for Thanksgiving, start around Halloween. Very slow, but it will open the can. If you’re making chili with Rotell, four tomato sauces, beans (I know beans aren’t in real chili), they are in mine. Then you’d better give yourself 20 minutes to open your cans. My opinion: it works well, just not very fast. ... show more

When it did not seem to work properly, I complained and wrote to the company, and they were very responsive to my questions and concerns. I think most of the problem was that the instructions and/or manual was not clear enough. Therefore I couldn't get it to clearly open a can. I would now advise the company to be explicit about the surprises a customer might experience straight up, and up front. It DOES work in a way very different from what we're used to in can openers. In any case, when I saw a video of a person's hands using the product, and actually lifting the lid, I saw it actually did work. By then we'd begun to return and refund. If I were to buy it again, I think I'd like a corded model rather than battery power. I 1st wrote: Would have liked it if it worked, but it did NOT open a can 1st time I used it...etc., etc. If you purchase this, find the how-to video as I think that will help you see how it works! ... show more
