  • Take care of this knife; it will take care of you.e of no.
Cut on soft wood (pine) or soft plastic cutting boards to help keep the edge. Hard boards will dull a knife. Try not to cut bone with it if you can. Soft bone and cartilage is okay. Rinse under warm water, then use a soft, soapy sponge, holding it flat against the wide part of the blade and move the sponge striaght out to the tip. Do the other side. Rinse. Do not use an abrasive pad! Hand dry with the same motions. Do not let this knife sit in water! Never put in a dish washer! Use a good double-sided diamond sharpening stone along with an angle guide. This knife is made with good metal. Mine still had a sharp edge after 2 months of frequent use. Take care of your tools. ... show more

A great knife for a budget. The balance point is the grove where the index finger rests (see photo). Good feel on the handle. I had about 12 oz of a rather tough ribeye, left over and refrigerated. I wanted to cut it in very thin slices before warming it for lunch, due to the fact it was a pretty tough chew last night. That made for a large number of slices to get through the whole piece of nearly shaved slices. The knife cut right through.
