  • EXCELLENT KEY FOB REPLACEMENT: 2012 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4 SPORT
I recently purchased a used 2012 Jeep Liberty 4x4 Sport. The only key it came with was beat up pretty bad and the remote functions were not working properly. The dealership agreed to provide me with 1 key fob replacement at no charge and did so. I still prefer to have at least 2 perfectly working keys for each of my vehicles. The lowest cost local option was $150 plus tax for a key. I did not want to pay that much so I searched Amazon and found these 2 keys for $30. I was unsure if I could program them myself but since it stated a procedure in the description that might work I felt it was worth the risk so I ordered them. I got them in yesterday and today I took them to our local ACE Hardware store and they cut both keys for $6. I looked up the programming procedures on the website they provided with the 2 keys and it said I would need to have someone program the keys because there was no self programming available for my vehicle. I decided to try what I had read anyway since I had 2 good keys. I did the following: 1. insert 1st good (already programmed) key and turn on without starting the vehicle and leave in for 3 seconds. 2. insert the 2nd good (already programmed) key and turn on without starting the vehicle and leave in for 10 seconds. (after this a small "lightning bolt" looking display pops up on display)... 3. Insert the brand new key (unprogrammed) and turn on without starting the vehicle and leave in for 30 seconds until the little lightning bolt display goes off.... After removing the key it was programmed and all functions for unlocking, locking, panic...etc worked properly and it worked for starting the jeep. I repeated the same process on the other one and it worked again so now I have a total of 4 keys (3 brand new and the one beat up one that came with the vehicle) and it cost me less then $50. I hate how expensive the computer chip keys can be but in my case this product was a very low cost success story. I recommend this product 100%. ... show more

  • Works great for my 2012 Chrysler 200
Bought when my key fob wouldn't consistently unlock my car. I replaced the battery in the old one, but it still wouldn't work. I thought I could use my key to manually enter my car, but it set off the alarm, until I started the car. Alarm turned off, but I could hear a ticking sound... the anti-theft system. Thankfully, I did not get pulled over. The dealership was not only able to program my key fob, but they were also able to cut it. I paid around $25 for the two key fobs and chose to only have one programmed. The cost at the dealership, for bringing in my own key fob, was $90. If I had bought it from them, it would have cost up to $225! I suggest you call ahead and ask if the dealership can program AND cut the key. ... show more

  • Keyless2Go is the way to go!
I bought this Keyless2Go replacement for my old and worn out key fob. Works like a charm. I can now unlock my car from a distance without fumbling with the buttons or worrying about the battery dying. The key fob is sturdy and durable, and fits comfortably in my pocket. It also looks sleek and stylish, unlike my original key fob that looked like it belonged in a museum. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who needs a new key fob for their car. It's a great value for the money and saves you the hassle of purchasing through the dealer or a locksmith. Keyless2Go is the way to go! ... show more

  • Exactly what was ordered!
This key was to replace my 2014 dodge avenger key (6 years old) and it works beautifully! 2 keys for $25 seemed too good to be true, I'd seen a few bad reviews but decided to purchase it anyways. I personally don't know what all the hate is about. I got these 2 keys cut and one programmed for $100. I used the dodge/chysler/jeep programming trick on the 2nd new key and it actually worked! All in all it's a really well rounded key for the price, my only grievance is the distance doesn't seem to be as long as the original key but I hardly notice that. I'll update this review in 6 months if anything changes! ... show more

  • Great Price
I was able to avoid the high dealer cost for the key remote and the locksmith had no issues programing. Too early to determine quality issues but cheap enough to order more if damaged.

  • Keys Work Great on my ‘06 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I recently bought a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee which came with only 1 4 button key. Calling around it appeared replacement keys were expensive since they had to connect a computer to your car - I was quoted anywhere from $89 for a key without buttons at a locksmith (dealer wanted $185) to $260 for a single 4 button key. The problem seems to be only having 1 key - with 2 working keys you can program keys 3 or 4 by yourself. What I did was have the least expensive blade key (key with no buttons) made (it was $80) and I ordered these 2 keys from Amazon. Once I had the blade key made I then had the 2 working keys needed to program the Amazon keys myself. I took the Amazon keys to a local locksmith - they cut them for $5 each. I then used the 2 working keys to program the 2 Amazon keys. All now work perfectly - doors open, Jeep starts, all of the buttons work just like the original. All in for about $115 got me 3 additional working keys. The directions that the seller has posted are correct for self programming - just remember that you must have 2 working keys to do that procedure. ... show more
