  • Keys won't work
Color: g-860 46-key [2]
First, the key fobs are fantastic. Look original, great range and easy to program. Very happy with them. I have not been able to get the keys to work. Had them cut locally and they will open door and turn the ignition cylinder. Cost me a couple bucks each at local hardware store. I have tried everything I can think of to get them to work with security system. I have one original key for 2006 Impala that works perfectly. Going through the steps for both adding keys and starting from scratch as if they were the only keys I have (which takes 30 minutes each time), they and the security will not sync. Unplugging battery doesn't help either. Watched multiple videos - no joy. But ,I can't definitively say it's these keys as I don't know the history of the car that well. They are marked with the proper + in a circle just like original. Frankly, I'm leaning toward the car being the culprit. I do need the keys, so guess I'll order others and hope for the best. UPDATE: I did order a key from another vendor and it linked up to the car on first try and works fine. It was the keys and not the car. ... show more

  • Skip the dealership for programming
Color: g-421 46-key [2]
For my 2011 GMC Sierra I needed the box that plugs into your OBD port. If you have this box programming is super simple. If you don’t buy one then return it. Some handheld scanners can program as well. Had keys cut at hardware store for like 2 bucks. Great price, fast shipping . OEM quality but still a DIY project if you’re good with following directions ... show more

  • Worked great on 08 Chevy equinox
Color: g-420 46-key [2]
The car will program the key and the fob, avoid $$ dealers and locksmith you can do this yourself, just have to get key cut.

  • One of the keys was a dud!
Color: g-421 46-key [2]
We discovered quickly that we couldn't program the keys ourselves and had to go to a locksmith. One of the keys has a faulty chip so wasn't programmable, the other key worked. So the locksmith cost us 200 bucks since we had to buy a key from them. The key fobs worked great, those were easy for us to program ourselves and they both worked. Still wouldn't buy this particular set again as it cost us a fortune in the end. Just keep in mind you need a locksmith for the keys and it's a game of chance if the chips are good in the keys ... show more

  • So far, quite a good product and a Co. that appears to care for quality & product information.
Color: g-415 46-key [2]
Vehicle is GMC 2008 Yukon XL 5.3 V8. Both sets included in the price perform like OEM, flawless upon installation; FOB look like original, works like original, included batteries; unbeatable price. Keys included, were cut in a local locksmith for $5.00 each; after keys cut, each transponder will set in less than 5 seconds: Insert in switch after original key inserted and on/off for 2 to 5 seconds (only to ON don't start engine in this procedure), immediately insert new cut key on/off and ready, engine starts. If wish to set both keys just follow the same procedure starting always with the original. ... show more

  • Works as expected. Read review for a tip on programming the remotes!
Color: g-415 46-key [2]
Needed some extra remotes and keys for a used 2015 Traverse I just bought. These came in 2 days, my local hardware store cut the keys for free, and the remotes were easily programmed once I stumbled upon a great, easy and inexpensive alternative to going to the dealer or someone with a scan tool for the programming! But first things first: Once the keys are cut, in order for the vehicle to learn and recognize the chips in the new keys, just put an existing (working) key into the ignition, turn the ignition to on, wait for the lights to go out on the dash, pull the working key out, insert one of the new keys, turn ignition back on, wait for dash lights to go out, pull the new key out, and that's it. Super simple. Repeat process for second key. PRO TIP: For vehicles after 2011 or so, you *USED TO* need to either have someone with a scan tool or an authorized dealer with the GM scan equipment get into the cars menu to program the remotes. If a few hundred bucks means nothing to you read no further. Take it to your dealership and shower them with Benjamins to program the remotes. For an additional charge they'll even "program the keys" for you too, but you already know how silly it would be to pay someone to do that if you read this far! For those of us on real budgets in the real world, dealerships charge way too much for a simple process like programming a remote, and if your mechanic does it he'll probably charge you $60-$150 for two remotes (still too much IMO) and he probably will have to google how to do it since most mechanics don't routinely program remotes as part of what they do. Being fairly handy, I was actually thinking about purchasing a scan tool since I would sort of like to have one around, but found you need a relatively spendy scan tool in order to allow doing things like getting into settings for learning new remotes. Then while looking at scan tools I stumbled into a product made by Dorman, also sold on Amazon. It comes with another remote (basically same as these) AND A LITTLE DEVICE WHICH PLUGS INTO THE OBD2 PORT UNDER YOUR STEERING WHEEL AND TELLS THE CAR TO GO INTO REMOTE LEARNING MODE! No scan tool required! No dealership charging you big $$ to program remotes required! In my case I already had these remotes plus the new one from Dorman, so I junked the goofy aftermarket remote that for whatever reason came with the car, programmed the remote that came with the device from Dorman along with these two remotes, and now I have one remote for driver one, one remote for driver two, a spare remote, three keys each attached to a working remote, -plus a device that will let me do two more programming sessions, -all for far less than a dealership would charge to do just one remote and one key! Side note: It seems these remotes have slightly better range than the one from that came with the Dorman tool, so I made these the driver one and two remotes and made the Dorman remote the spare. Couldn't be happier! ... show more
