These pliers will work. However they have a plastic cover over the metal plier teeth, which is to protect the metal hardware. It makes it extremely difficult to grip the metal and not slide off. I eventually was able to make two key fobs, but I’m betting there are other pliers that have the soft rubber coating on the inside edge of the pliers that would be much easier to use. The KeyFob Pliers are very heavy and sturdy. Wish it opened a little wider for the mouth of the pliers to help fit the hardware in there better for squeezing. But they're great, the hardware I punch a small hole with a large pick to make holes where the grips should grab the fabric, that helps them thread better. I purchased this set a long while ago and haven’t gotten around to reviewing, my apologies. Very easy to use with the tool it comes with! When I first purchased this, I cranked out all 40 keychains and they sold like hotcakes. I used everyone and none of them wasted! I actually have a few around that we use constantly and they’re still holding up perfectly! I used a strip of faux leather and made a loop you can hold on your wrist and used these to close the ends and attach a keychain. Would buy again!! ... show more
