The media could not be loaded. First off - because this was my biggest concern based on other reviews; the color is not snow white, but it is still in the white range. Some reviews say it is yellow and it is definitely not yellow. But what people mean is that it is ivory. I have true white walls and beige blinds. You can see from the photo that the mantel is not as white as my walls, but not far off. Because I have some beiges in my room, the color works fine. It is whiter than the color of primed doors at Lowes (unpainted off-white primer). This was EASY to assemble. It arrives in two large packages. The electric fireplace itself was not hard to carry inside. It is the wood mantel package that is hard to carry because it is long enough to be akward to carry by yourself. I was able to drag it into my front door and then have someone assist me carrying it to the room it goes in (not heavy for two people to carry). There is slight gapping in the panels once assembled. But you don't really see it from the front or even the side. You'd have to be directly on the side of it or behind it to see the gaps. Concern #2 based on other reviews was the pre-drilled holes. Everything lined up great on mine. I just hand-tightened everything first (in each step of assembly) before tightening with the wrench. That way it was easy to slide the pieces slightly if needed. There is an overall power button then a separate power button for the heater and one for the flames. Once you turn on the main power button, the enclosed remote will be useable. You can also control everything from the fireplace itself. It is QUIET with no heat and there is a slight airy sound with the heat on. Just like any average HVAC heat vent sound. There is no "crackling" sound. Some people on here have purchased separate sound machines for this. I'm thinking of just putting a bluetooth speaker on top of my fireplace and using the youtube yule log video for a crackling sound (via the bluetooth speaker) if I really want it. Then I don't need to purchase another device and can control everything from my phone. Overall - great packaging, nothing damaged, took me 1.5 hour to assemble working slow paced, looks great, puts out heat immediately, doesn't clash with super white walls. I literally requested a return of this item because I didn’t know it came in two pieces. So just know that. It’s the perfect size for my sunroom. It has pretty cool features like flame and heat levels. The screen and flames are truly a neat visual. The heat element is strong enough and definitely permeates through. So I say to the vendor, forget the return, I’m keeping this, thank you! To those considering this product, it’s a good height, very tasteful and decor on top doesn’t heat up. I have to say this fireplace was well designed. It feels very sturdy. Many times you buy something like this and it is wobbly and doesn't fit together exactly right. This product is the exact opposite. I am 59 years old with a lot of health issues so I was worried about my ability to put it together successfully. I am happy to say the instructions were very well written and easy to follow. The only issue I had was one of the two boxes was very heavy. I struggled to drag it into the house and into the den. I never thought I would own an electric fireplace because they always look so fake. While the logs may not look real, the flames themselves are beautiful and I love the small size of this unit with all the wood-like detail. I read the reviews and saw it is a milky ivory color, not bright white, and also that the mantle does not match the frame in color. So I bought this ready to paint it the same white as the molding in my livingroom. I needed to sand and put two coats on, which took most of the day but I'm happy with the result! It does warm the room and definitely adds ambience. I paid my handyman to assemble it for me so I cannot speak to that part. ... show more

It took both my hubby and I close to build this. We did it the old fashioned way (no power drill). I believe a drill would have cut off half the time. Also, we were jamming to some jazz (so yes distractions). We are more than satisfied with this fireplace. It is beautiful and tall. I DIY it with wallpaper that I got from Amazon. I think that is what I love the most. This fireplace will live long holidays with us. Oh! We have 50 inch TV that sits on top of it perfectly. We are not a TV Wall Mount family. I bought this during Prime Day. Always keep an I on stuff you want. I write down dates and prices to compare. Some items are listed higher than the actual price.
