  • Geodes from my printer.
Color: Glitter Blue Violet Galactic Material Type: Polylactic Acid
This filament is amazing. I used it to make the top of a mug that I printed for my kid. The coloration has very good variance, and there were no jams in the printer at all. It's really something you have to see in person to appreciate fully. What more can I say. This is a great product.

  • First time trying wood filament
Color: White Wood Material Type: Wood PLA+
I'd been wanting to try wood filament for a while but hesitant to switch nozzle sizes. Found a good deal on the iSanmate wood filaments so thought I'd give it a go. No regrets. And now I like the speed of 0.6 nozzles too. I started with the Baby Groot planter model at 100% in the darker wood. Looked great but too dark for Groot. No problem, I also got the lighter wood. Wife saw it and wanted it as large as I could make it. The dark model is at 100% and the light at 250%. I've printed 3 large so far (~ 9 hrs each) and had no problems with the filament clogging (0.6 mm nozzle). I did have one adhesion problem but in retrospective I should have noticed the skirt lines didn't quite mush together. I'm getting stringing, but I'm printing at 2x normal speed for Ender 3 and haven't tweaked retraction much since the change. I'm sure it can be reduced. My first order included 2 spools (one light, one dark) and 1 spool came damaged. The filament was fine but the spool was cracked in multiple places. No way it would spin on my rollers. I contacted iSanmate and they took care of it very quickly with no questions. I've got more ideas for this filament, so definitely buying more. ... show more

  • Prints and looks great!
Color: Glitter Blue Violet Galactic Material Type: Polylactic Acid
The blue violet galactic color looks really good. A little glittery and semi-translucent. I’m on my second spool now. First impression after opening the package was that it was very brittle. Even after 6hrs in the dryer it broke pretty easily. (Couldn’t quite bend it 45degrees by hand before snapping). On the printer though it works great. No bed adhesion issues or excessive stringing that you’d usually associate with “wet” filament. Note: If you print directly from the dryer it seems to be sensitive to temperature change. Usually if I print with it from my dryer it will feed just fine during the printing since it’s rotating in the dryer, but once the print is done and it cools down, I’ll usually find that it snapped where it comes out of the dryer. Luckily I haven’t had it break in the middle of a print. I started drying it before printing, then throwing it on the normal spool holder for the print. ... show more

  • Mis-labeled, but correct
Color: Ebony Wood Material Type: Wood PLA+
I had previously purchased a 4-pack of mini-wood spools from this brand and was disappointed that the ebony I received in that pack was the old formula, which is actually lighter (with a slightly res hue) than the Sandal wood also included in that pack. That version is probably closer to a Texas Ebony than the darker ebony woods, but still looks pretty great. I did however still want to try out there darker, almost black, version so I ordered this. At the same time I also ordered full spools of Sandal wood and the white pine. I was surprised when I opened the box to see that this spool is labeled as Sandal wood, but is much darker than the actual Sandal wood I received (comparison shown in attached photos). I believe this is probably the correct color, but mis-labeled. I have printed with Temps as low as 190 and up to 220 without any issues commonly found with a certain brand's wood filaments (like stringing) and so far it seems to take a stain fairly well, though I have only tested that on a small sample. I have been impressed with the print quality of this brand's wood filaments so I will likely continue to keep it in stock, but the company seems to have some quality control issues especially as it comes to packaging their products. Hopefully they can get those issues sorted out, because this is pretty good stuff. ... show more

  • Very beautiful filament. All around good quality.
Color: Glitter Rainbow Material Type: Polylactic Acid
Beautiful filament that prints very well. It flows nicely and looks very nice when done. No stringing was noticed, it did have flowing issues as it did not flow smoothly. It also has a tendency to break unless you dry it in a filament dryer. After drying the filament flowed better and did not break. I would recommend this filament, especially if you need beautiful, almost mystical, prints. You will not be sorry. ... show more

  • Beware of the ebony/black stuff!
Color: Ebony Wood Material Type: Wood PLA+
I purchased Ebony (black), Verawood (a discontinued green color but my favorite by far), Boxwood (yellow), Yellow Pear Wood (orange). All kinds have the same smell, so they're probably a hodgepodge of cheap locally sourced wood. The wood grain texture is far more apparent than SUNLU Real Wood PLA which claims to be 20% wood and smells a little worse in my opinion. Orange, yellow, and green all print wonderfully. Prints with this filament typically show more strings than an equivalent print with traditional PLA, but that is to be expected. I've personally achieved optimal print quality by using almost identical settings to standard PLA except for the hotend temperature. That was reduced by about 25℃. Black is a nightmare to print with. It is the stringiest filament I've ever worked with regardless of the settings I've tried. It comes out of the nozzle when it wants to. ... show more
