  • Good value for the money
Color: 10' Blue
Having just raced a high-dollar carbon SUP yesterday, I was curious to try out this value-priced inflatable and see what it was like. First of all, I was pretty impressed with all that came in the package. Along with the board, the fins, the paddle, the paddle leash, and the pump, the company included a repair kit. I will say the instructions left a lot to be desired; they're disjointed and seem kind of randomly thrown together, as well as some of the text being quite small. But on the plus side almost all that needs to be assembled is pretty intuitive. You will want to note from the instructions that when filling the board, be sure to pull the valved to its raised position; otherwise the air will leak out. The board itself seems to be pretty well made, although I don't have any info on seam construction and such as that. It was pretty easy to inflate with the included pump, and I really appreciated the pressure gauge on the pump. It will take 10 minutes or so of pumping, and it will take some effort as you get closer to maximum pressure, so you may want to use an electric pump if you have difficulty with that much pumping effort. Fins slide in place and have a locking piece that goes into a slot to keep the fins from sliding out. The paddle is actually pretty decent and not too heavy, considering its 3-piece construction. When I tested the board and paddle out on the water, I did find the adjustable length handle kept sliding back into the paddle shaft. After I got off the water I found I could tighten up the latch just by opening it and twisting it clockwise, as both ends of the retaining screw are captive. Out on the water I found the board was fairly stiff; without any extra stiffeners I wondered how it would be, but certainly for recreational use it was fine. I did pump it up to the maximum 15 psi limit. As for stability, it's about like other boards this width. If you haven't yet developed some balance skills, you may get wet for a bit until you do, but most people will probably get the hang of it before too long. Start out on your knees with your weight low, then raise yourself up smoothly and evenly. As a budget inflatable, it isn't going to set any speed records or win slalom events, but for an easy to transport way to get out for some fun on the water, it works pretty well. ... show more

  • Awesome paddle board
Color: 10' Blue
This is the first paddle board I have owned, but I have used a couple previously. I can’t believe I waited this long to finally get my own. It has been a lot of fun using this paddle board recently. I was a little skeptical of inflatable paddle boards because I assumed they would be pretty floppy. Luckily I was proved wrong. I was very surprised to see how sturdy this thing is. When inflated to 15 psi this thing feels as hard as a fiberglass paddle board. In fact my dad was looking at it and knocked on it with his knuckles and said “oh that’s not one of those inflatable ones”. He was very surprised when I told him it actually is inflatable. This paddle board is pretty big when inflated, so it’s really nice being able to deflate it and roll it up for transport. However, I will say that manually inflating on of these things is a horrible experience. It takes quite a while and your arms are on fire before you’re close to finished. However, that is the case with all inflatable SUPs, so that won’t affect my review. I would highly recommend getting an electric SUP pump to save your arms and your time. I really like the design of this paddle board and I think it looks awesome. The bungee cords on the front are really convenient and there are d rings as well that can be used to tie things down. I like that the paddle board comes with a bag to store the board, pump, paddle and fins. It’s nice keeping everything together so individual items don’t get lost. Overall, I have been very happy with this paddle board and have enjoyed being out on the water with it. It is very sturdy and stable. I have even taken my adult black lab out on it with me and it worked great. I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Gets the job done but had some issues with the fill valve
Color: 10' Blue
This is my 3rd inflatable SUP and they are a great way to get out on the water without having much trouble transporting. I would highly recommend investing in an electric pump right away even though this board and most come with a hand pump. The recommended PSI for the board is 15 and it would take a pretty good amount of time and energy to reach this pressure with the hand pump. That being said, my first time out with this board the valve stuck open when removing the pump letting out a good amount of air dropping the psi down to 6 or 8 very quickly. It did this twice to me when filling the board with my electric pump and I can only imagine the disappointment if you were hand pumping and this occurred. Once I was finally able to get the board back to pressure, it performed fairly well. I am 5'10" and 240 pounds and was able to use the board with little issues. The board isn't quite as stable as my other two boards but that is expected being a bit more narrow. This board comes with 3 fins in the rear while my other boards have a 4th larger fin in the middle of the board which provides further lateral stability. With this comparison being said this board is a lower price point than the others. The case it comes with is also not as good of quality but gets the job done. The paddle is a basic paddle that adjusts for the riders height with no issues. Overall, if this board fits your desired price point, it will get you out on the water. The valve sticking and letting out air is the biggest negative aspect of the board but hopefully it will not occur as often with further use. ... show more
