    • Attractive, well made, bubbler with small bubbles

The media could not be loaded. This bubbler has two features which set it apart: it’s acrylic, so it should last much longer than air stones (and is more attractive, IMHO), and it’s designed to create smaller bubbles. Smaller bubbles means more surface area which allows more oxygen to dissolve into the water. Hygger claims the use of EVA material to create bubbles is more corrosion-resistant than the material used by competitors, and that it will never clog. When I first connected to the bubbler to my air pump, the bubbles were plentiful, but no smaller in size than my other air stone. Then I saw in the manual that the bubbler requires an air pump of at least 2 watts to produce small bubbles, and my pump is 3 watts, but has two outflows. I connected the bubble to another 3 watt bubbler and indeed the bubbles were smaller. I then spoke to Hygger support who told me to use the pliers to tighten the cover on the disk to generate smaller bubbles (I had hand-tightened it). After that, small bubbles were produced using both pumps. The set includes a 1.77-inch (45mm) air bubbler, a 2-meter air tube (4mm diameter), a suction cup, a check valve, and stainless steel pliers (to adjust the size of the bubbles, and to remove the top of the bubbler to clean it, if necessary). The media could not be loaded. The weight of this AirStone is phenomenal, it's nice to have an air stone that you don't have to bury with sand to keep it from floating. I have had many aquariums in my life and all of them have had some type of an air stone in it. They all wore out, got gunked up, stopped working or broke. This one is the first one that you can actually take apart and clean I haven't had it long enough to give a review on how it is to clean but I can tell by the way it's made that it's going to last a long time & I know that if I need another I will purchase one without hesitation.     • Nice bubbles but noisy

I wanted some bubbles for my painted turtle and it works well for that. He was drawn to it right away. Only complaint is the sound, it’s not a soft sound and a little distracting. Guess I’ll get used to it!

    • Extremely noisy

The media could not be loaded. Build quality and style is good and i like it sits flush at the bottom where the airline connector is right at the corner of the aquarium for a clean look. However this high end airstone is extremely noisy - like having a mini motor running (see video - turn on volume). I have done multiple test to confirm the noise is from the airstone - after unplugging it and just let the airline blow bubble directly, everything went silent the only sound is the air bubble hitting water surface. Compared to when this airstone was installed, it makes a constant loud humming noise that drives you mad. (My air pump is silent). This may not be an issue if you have the aquarium by itself in corner of the room, for me it's a nano Hawaiian brackish shrimp tank that is sitting next to me on my work desk, i went to great length to ensure all equipment (air pump etc..) are completely silent. Never thought the airstone ended up making so much noise. I tried many fixes with different power air pumps and loosen/tighten the airstone lid, nothing helped. Not acceptable. I ended up just replace it with a cheap clear bubble wand - same function no noise and saved bunch money. (basically just some water surface movement for gas exchange to ensure water is oxygenated ) ... show more

    • Works great for about a week ..

This works really well but after a week it clogged up so bad it blew the airline off my pump. I took it apart and cleaned it real well and put it back together then the bubbles were no longer micro and more like just random large bubbles. After a few days it started making micro bubbles again but a few days after that it is flogged up again. Aquarium is clean, low algae and crystal clear water so I have no idea what is causing it to clog up. Just not that great. For the money, just not worth it. ... show more
