I just love this little scooter, I don't drive and I was tired of riding a bike so I invested in the scooter and it was well worth the money. Now I did get a flat tire within the first two weeks and went ahead and switched the solid tires and I'm glad I did makes for a bumpier ride but in the long run it was well worth the money. It was easy to learn how to turn it on and off and charge it, it folds up easily and it's easy to store. I did some research on locks for it and I did find a nice solid heavy duty lock to lock it up with when I'm in the store or wherever I am. I am glad I bought this it is a fun little thing to ride around on it gets good mileage I do take my charger with me sometimes I am able to charge it when needed. It functions well but you do need to be aware of potholes I have had a couple of tumbles because if you hit a pothole that is deep enough it will stop you and you will go flying it's like hitting a brick wall. It does not turn on a dime so you have to learn how to maneuver and the break is very very touchy so you need to learn how to break without jolting yourself almost off of it. If you hit the brakes too fast it will skid. I do not own a helmet and I don't really plan on wearing one in the future but I do recommend them for children. Mine doesn't go over 16 mph but you do have to pay attention to where you're riding for safety issues I bought a little horn for it for when I come up behind people on trails and stuff. Dual motors is great on a scooter and it makes acceleration very fast and easy, but thats where the pros end. This scooter is extremely unreliable, the first time I purchased it the tire blew a hole near the stem making repair impossible, had to return after only a few weeks of use. The second time and my last time buying this I only had a chance to use it for less than 2 weeks and the scooter stopped wanting to turn on consistently which made driving it dangerous in the street. We own a few different electric scooters and we love them. So much fun as a family. My daughter needed an upgrade and this was our choice. She’s 4”6 and 68lbs right now so this is a comfortable scooter for her to ride. No noise at all, build quality its very sturdy, easy to assemble. We have some steep hills in our neighborhood and these scooter has handled them with ease so far. Battery life is good would have to see over multiple charges how it’s holding up. Definitely would recommend for a scooter rider who’s looking for upgrade ... show more

Honesty I've thrashed this scooter for over 6months now and it's still kicking as strong as it was out the box. minus my weather guard that broke off. It can take a beating, I wanted something fast and cheap and this is exactly what you get nothing fancy but quick for the price, the dual motors make this thing accelerate very quickly. And the breaks are extremely sensitive now the big problem with this scooter are the tires they come with THEY SUCK! and I blew both out within the first 2months of use (I only use it on the weekends to get to work) so if you're going to get this scooter, I highly suggest purchasing 2 tubeless tires to install as soon as the stock ones blow other than that. The scooter is The best thing you can get for the price. If it came with tubless tires from factory, I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

I needed a scooter to complete my commute to work, having to get from a train station to my office across town. I reviewed several scooters and a lot of signs pointed to the Hover-1 Journey Max for its value, power, speed, smooth ride, and ability to climb hills. I decided on the Hover-1 Journey and I'm very glad I did. This thing is awesome. It has two motors so you can select FWD, RWD or both for max power. It rides super smooth and quiet and has cool features like automatic cruise control. It's not the lightest thing, but its easy enough for me to fold, pick up and walk onto a train, or into an elevator with. I ordered this item from Amazon, as I primarily shop with this company. The scooter was for my daughter, who lives in Florida. The scooter is defective the brakes do not work properly, nor does it hold a charge. Both very dangerous and concerning. Although within return window, you are requesting a box which we no longer have and it is assembled. I feel due to this unsafe product a full refund is given or a new item is shipped. We should not have to pay the cost for shipping or supply the cost. The photo provided was the one taken on 12/28 when we received the item, before using and realizing it is defective. AMAZON SHOULD HAVE REFUNDED ME IMMEDIATELY AS THIS ITEM IS OF NO USE TO ANYONE!!!!!! ... show more

I've tried so.. so so many scooters that claim to be hill climbers for "payloads" up to 265 pounds.. and while I'm still dealing with the thought of being referred to as a "payload" ..none but this one could really rip me up a hill. I'm a 40yo guy that weighs about 230 pounds - a combination of baby fat my mother tells me I'm bound to lose sooner or later, and Covid weight gained from a year spent on my couch playing GTA and consuming adult beverages at a fevered pace. That being said. This thing moves. It's fast and fun. It pulls me up hills way steeper then they claim it can, and accelerates hard..But the brakes. They're either on or off. And there is no adjustment for it. It's the regen for the motor/battery. Just learn to lean back when applying them, you'll get used to it. Basically this beauty with throw you backwards, and throw you forwards, but man.. it'll get you up a hill at an alarming pace. Even more so if you aren't a 40 yo, 230 pound dude. You won't get anything better here for inclines. Trust me. No matter how expensive they are. I've tried, and returned them all but this one. ... show more
