I use this to keep deer and groundhogs out of my crop fields. I have tried the name brand poly wire from Tractor Supply Company and I have purchased a no-name brand of polywire here off Amazon. This is my second roll off of Amazon, but the brand is different from my last purchase as the last brand I purchased was no longer available. I don't see any noticeable difference in this brand, the last brand or the name brand poly wire. Ordered this to put around our garden to keep the deer out. So far it's worked very well. We replaced some broken steel wire and I'll say that this is much easier to work with. I do wish it had more conductive material through it, but that's my only small complaint. Highly recommended!

    • My go to electric fencing
This electric fence is awesome. Obviously this is just the wire itself and you will still need grounding rods and a charge controller, but this is by far my favorite wire to use. It is easy to work with, strong, and easily visible so you don't get that dreaded zap from accidently walking into it! It basically behaves like a nylon rope, and just has really thin conductors ran throughout it as well. I am able to string it up very tight and not worry about it breaking, and it is durable as well, this stuff holds up for many years. It won't take too many direct hits from a weed-whacker but is plenty strong for normal use. It is pliable enough to tie knots into the end to secure it and even tie itself back together if needed! This is also a very good deal for the product, much cheaper to buy it in bulk on here and have plenty than to go and spend more at your local brick and mortar. Even though it may seem thin, it still packs a strong punch! I have had no issues with conductivity. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • Strong conductive wire
It's a big spool of electric fence wire. Strung it around the flowerbeds to keep goats out of the shrubbery. Holds strong and makes good contact - you definitely feel the zap. Gets the point across. No issues.

I'm reviewing the 3366' spool of electric fence polywire. I ordered this because we've had multiple predator attacks on our livestock, and we need a solution that will stop them. I'm happy with this product for several reasons. First off, there is enough wire to run 6 strands around our livestock enclosure and still have plenty left over to keep critters out of our garden. We've only used the plain aluminum wire before, but since we're only concerned about 4-legged predators (mainly bear, coyotes, foxes, and raccoons), I want the bright yellow and black wire because it's easy for people (i.e. me, LOL) to see and avoid, especially at night. This wire is twisted with a total of 6 actual conductor wires and 28 poly threads which give it extra strength, so it should last a long time and perform well. The large spool that this is on makes for easy installation. The ease of use, strength of the product, and the size of the spool combine to make this a good value.
