I chose to mount a 1 x 6 board to the garage wall studs, and then mounted the rack rails to the board, eliminating the need for dry wall anchors or the need to align the rail to the studs. This solution worked really well, and I'm very pleased with how this bike storage solution has worked out. I have one MTB with 2.3" tires that is right on the edge of just fitting in the provided hooks. Maybe a 2.5" would squeeze by, but that's probably the max.     • Good Bike Rack, But Six Bikes? No Way.
Easy to set up and install, appears to be very sturdy. But if you own mountain or gravel bikes with flat handlebars and wider tires - versus skinny road bikes with drop bars and narrow tires - plan to hang only four bikes. Still, I would recommend.

I love everything about this rack! It’s a little annoying that it’s 4 separate pieces and not one big long rack but it does make it more versatile so no loss in stars. It’s super strong and well made. You could squeeze 3 full size bikes on it, maybe 4! Only complaint is that the instructions don’t tell you which way is up so I installed it upside down and had to remove it and start over! Other than that it’s awesome! ... show more

Easily installed by screwing to exposed studs of garage. As others have said, use screws into studs or into boards run horizontally between studs. Using the provided anchors in drywall are likely to pull through if hanging heavy or multiple bikes… or if kids decide to hang from a bike. Easy to hang bike by front or rear wheel. This is a wonderful product but for somebody with a variety of bicycles, the lack of a fat bike hook is disappointing. If there are larger hooks to buy I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.

    • very sturdy, easy to use
Very easy to install, given enough screws to attach securely to wall. Easy to put bikes on and take them off the rack. I like that it isn't just one long piece of metal, but 4 pieces that way you can put smaller bikes lower and bigger bikes up higher. Exceptional value for price.
