Shipping was quick. There were no instructions in the box. You may want to snap a few pictures of the location of the two throttle and choke lever and spring connections although a quick search on the Web yielded several how to videos which do show all the connections. The replacement procedure is quite easy and not time consuming. There was a new spark plug in the box which I installed without checking the gap. The Engine fired right up and ran like a champ. It would have been nice if a fuel filter was included in the box but they are inexpensive so not a big deal. ... show more

Ordered this carb for the 15.5 hp Briggs motor on my riding mower. It fit just like the oem carb and the mower cranked right up after the install. The length of fuel line is a little short for my particular application but I was still able to use it.

    • Carbs these days are terrible
I’ve worked on small engines my whole life and know a lot bout them. This is the 4th carb on this mower. They all have a different problem including this one. The original would run for 10 minutes and suddenly quit. The second one would leak gas into the cylinder overnight. It was not the solenoid causing this problem. I believe it was the float and needle assembly. This was a huge problem because I’d not only have to pull the plug and crank it to expel the gas from the cylinder, but if left long enough, the gas would get into the crankcase and mix with the oil. So I’d also have to change the oil. The third and fourth (this one) carb would surge. I put the float assembly from this one on the carb that ran good but leaked. Right now it runs great. We’ll see if it leaks overnight. If it does, I’m done with trying to get a good carb. I will just keep this one on and simply install a more convenient gas shut off than where the OEM is. ... show more
