It says it takes two to put together but I did most of it by myself and my toddler helped hold the lid when I was putting it on. The color was spot on, seems really sturdy l, holds a lot of toys and the directions were actually helpful.

So this chest is great, the ONLY reason this doesn’t have 5 stars is because they sent me to wrong color. I ordered the greig and they sent me the rustic brown one. It actually looks good and goes with everything so I am not going to return. This chest/bench was super easy to put together and it has more room than I anticipated inside. We love the product and it looks great. This was our 3rd one to purchase. While putting this one together, the bottom center short board broke while screwing 2 of the screws in. We have contacted Hoobro customer service and have had no response. We are willing to pay for the replacement piece if needed. So now we wait hoping for a response.
