I sleep with it literally every night on the L position. Sometimes before a shower I will turn it on 5, and snuggle up in it when I get out to warm me up. This is the best electric blanket I have purchased over the past 7 years and it is also the cheapest in terms of price. I have purchased 3 other brands over the past 7 years and they have all had issues. One would not get hot enough, another had one side that was temperamental and only heated up when it felt like it. The other one was simply too delicate and the heating wires got easily damaged. This blanket gets more than hot enough with 3 more heat settings to spare. It gets hot very quickly. Within minutes of turning it on you can already feel the heat forwarding through the blanket and within 5 minutes, it is at is desired heat setting. I literally turn it on and then go to the bathroom and when I come back a few minutes later, the bed is already warm and toasty. The remotes are very simple to figure out with a large display that is easy to read without glasses (important of you are a glasses wearer) and there is more than enough cord to run the remotes cable under the bed putting the remote on a nightstand at the head of the bed and still running the outlet plug to an outlet another 6 feet away. The blanket also did not have any funky smell out of the box. All of that and it was half the price of one of those other failed blankets. So far, this one is a keeper. ... show more
