It isn’t heavy, but keeps me warm. But not overly hot. I read reviews saying it sheds badly. But I also read how to wash the blanket. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat. I have purchased this wonderful blanket a number of times. It's warm, comfortable, reversible, and very soft. This is great to have on hand when chilly weather comes. It's 300 GSM-------grams per square meter. That refers to the weight (heaviness) of the blanket. This is a very nice lightweight blanket. It's fluffy, cozy, and unbelievably soft. I highly recommend this blanket. For the COLDER winter weather, my go-to blankets are the UTOPIA 480 GSM exceptionally plush lightweight blanket that has THE WARMTH of a heavy weight blanket. This is a wonderful blanket that is reversible, luxurious, and extra warm. It's made of high-quality materials. I've purchased over a dozen of these for great gifts, or just to cover up in a recliner or sofa. When that frigid wind is blowing, this is what I like to wrap up in. Often on sale at fantastic prices/values, they come in all sizes. Last February, the (throw size) was on sale on Amazon for $11.99, PLUS another 50% off that. I ordered this blanket after finding a pink DKNY fleece blanket at Marshall’s and they only had one twin. I knew my other daughter would want a match with her sister. So I compromised and bought one on here. I was so skeptical because sometimes these blankets have a lot of pilling of the fleece but I caved. I got the light purple one and I immediately washed it and told my daughter to wait it out so I could see. To my surprise it didn’t get all over and the fleece wasn’t everywhere! This is a great blanket, light but still warm and comforting. The size is nice and roomy, and the color is a a good soft grey. But really, it's the fuzziness of the blanket that is the best for me. Being wrapped up in this is very cozy.
