The number of LED's per foot is just right. Way bright too! Replaced dim LED bulbs in off-grid refer and freezer. Had to clean and dry several times to get adhesion but kit includes tie down bars and screws but did not need them. There is nothing remote control about this product. I was pleasantly surprised by the brightness of these strip lights. Unlike most cheap options that tend to be rather dim, these lights were exceptionally bright, making them well worth the price.

Bought three strips to complete my kitchen. Works well and is a fairly easy DIY project. Make sure you buy light diffuser channels, dimmer inserts, power splitters if needed. Set mine up with smart plug and have everything automated for certain times of the day. Great product for the price!

    • Adhesive tape is utterly useless. Dimming capability is very good with the correct dimmer switch.

So hopefully this will be a durable product because, for the premium price paid, the product has installation issues: 1.) They state that the tape backing is improved - Is that really true because it's the worst two sided tape that I've ever come across, period!. If you want the product to stay in place you'll need to remove the tape they provide and buy some quality 3M two sided tape or run a bead of silicone sealant along both edges to hold it in place. For the price they are charging they should have used quality tape to begin with. 2.) I purchased two rolls - One installed flat and the other - Well the LED strip waves back and forth like a roller coaster in the silicone sheathing. Looks uneven compared to the one that installed with the LED Strip flat. The quality control is not great and again, for the price paid I would have expected much better. 3.) The so called waterproof product is only so if you don't cut it. If you cut it then the silicone sheathing that the LED strip is installed in is no longer sealed. So it's no longer waterproof. That should have been stated since they tell you that the product can be cut - Not the waterproof product if you want it to remain waterproof. What I like: 1.) The silicone sheathing protects the LED strips. In a fishing boat where things are banged into this is important. I'm expecting that the LED strips will survive mild bumps and abuse. 2.) The dimming capability of these LED strips is very good. I used Leisure Lectronics 12 Volt PWM Light Dimmer Switch, 12V LED & Incandescent - Boat, RV, Car from Amazon, which is rated at 7 amps. This switch controls 2 LED strips run in parallel (both strips attached to dimmer) exceptionally well. dimming is smooth across the entire range and goes from a very faint light to a very bright light. No flickering as well. Again, the two LED strips must be run in parrallel. If you run them in series the LED's will continue to dim along the 32' 8" length to an unacceptable low level. This is because the thin wire gauge in the LED strip will not support 32' of length - too much voltage drop. Run them in parrallel (connect both strips directly to dimmer) and there is no no noticeable change in brightness from the first to last LED in the 32 foot of LED stripping. Adhesive strips for fastening waterproof light strip: To maintain waterproof capability I did not cut strip and use corner connectors. Instead I bent the LED strip slightly to transition to a new direction and held it down with adhesive cable management ties at those locations.. I tried a bunch of cable management clips and the one that fits the waterproof LED strip best is this one sold on Amazon: Adhesive Cable Management Clips, 50Pcs Adjustable Nylon Cable Strap Ties Wire Clips Clamps Organizer with Strong Adhesive Tape, Extra Screw & Hole for Strong Fixation Home Office - 3.3 Inch White. Just trim excess pull throught tab and they work great. Does not attract insects: The waterproof Warm white 3000K LED strip light does not attract insects. I use these to light my boat deck at night and, even in wooded areas insects are not attracted to the warm white LED lighting. ... show more

I’ve used a lot of led strip lights in my house, under cabinets in the kitchen etc. I know how to cut them, how to connect them, how to install them. These are very similar except they have a hollow rectangular silicone rubber tube around them. This does make them water impervious, only if you securely block the open ends with something. I use silicone rubber and it seems to be successful. I would not be comfortable using them underwater or in standing water, but they’ve survived some heavy rain with no issues. They’re bright and as easy to use as their indoor-use only counterpart. ... show more

These lights have completely transformed our kitchen. Their own page doesn't even advertise the value of this specific package well enough. The kit includes two connectors that allow you to snip the strip when you hit a corner and then make whatever turn you need to (they're only a few inches long though, so it's not great for if you want a large gap in between strips). It also comes with a MAGNETIC holder for the remote, so our remote sticks to our fridge for easy access! I went into this with no LED strip experience whatsoever, but HitLights thankfully has a Youtube channel with a tutorial on how to snip the strip and add the connectors which made the whole experience relatively simple. The only extra note I'd add is that inside the connectors, I had to use a tiny screwdiver to bend up the contact points because there wasn't enough space to slide in the strip.
