So far I have not found anything about the light strip or the stuff that comes in this whole you you going kit to say anything bad about it. It worked for what I was wanting it for so I could make a stand alone light bar for my 3D printer and it works great for that. The also make it easy to cut it and give you 2 3 inch jumper cables so that you can go around hard corners without having to loop it over it self like a lot of others do. Also the end of the strip does not just end it has a jack on it so that if you got other strips you can just plug them right in this one so you don't need to keep buying more power bricks. The only thing I found out the hard way is if you do use the RF remote with it if you use one the modes on it to get it out the modes is you have to change the light level and that will snap it back to a normal light. But that should not count august it. At lest it does remember what level and mode it was in when the power is lost. The only other thing is that you may want to know is that when power is lost and comes back it will be back on. So you might want to keep that in mind when picking one those up. It's will worth the money they want you get every penny of your money with this kit. ... show more

Let's face it, some LED light kits, while functional, are not great quality. However, this one - not the case. It's fantastic!! Very high quality all the way around, from the packaging to the lights themselves. For starters, I noticed it is UL listed, which most of these kits are NOT, so that alone tells you something. (The price should as well, which is higher than the typical kit of this type, but honestly...the quality is there on this and worthy of the price) It is really easy to install, it works GREAT...it's very bright, there are lots of options on warmth etc as well. Then, another stand out - the backing is made by 3M. Also not the case with most of these kits, so that's another plus. It sticks very well wherever you put it, which is great. The power cord is substantial so there should not be an issues with using too juice...so far, so good! The remote is great as well - super easy to use and very responsive. AND...it's got a great warranty too (6 years!) which is not typical for these either. Overall, this kit offers a LOT of pluses that in my opinion, puts them above the competition by miles. I highly, highly recommend this lighting kit. We love it and have no doubt that you will, too! ... show more

This LED kit is the nicest, most expensive one I've used. Happy to recommend this one and give it 5 stars. What I like ~ • UL listing can not be understated ~ It means this is very safe. • Black box with purple writing is slick enough ~ could be a gift for someone who likes these things. • The distance between cut points is very small. About an inch. This helps with fitment in custom places. • Kit includes good instructions, a lot of accessories to help with install. • The solder points on this UL approved kit might make you realize how sketchy some of the soldering points are in the competition~ good solder and then sealed in plastic (see pics). • The black tape is something I haven't used before and helps hide the tape when it is off. • There is a good amount of cabling on both sides of the power source. Enough to keep the power source on top of the upper cabinets and then start the LED underneath. What I do not like ~ (no deal breakers) • While the black tape does a great job of trying to be inconspicuous, the UL licensing and branding are written in white; between that and the shiny copper marked about every inch, it makes it kind of busy. ... show more

I love this LED strip. I had a corner under my cabinets that was always dark and hard to work in most of the time. This allowed me to brighten it up immensely. It is very bright and the adhesive sticks quickly and holds extremely well. I ran it back and forth under the cabinet and around the inner border around my spice rack, and now I can actually see what I am looking for. The dimmer is convenient, though I do prefer it at full brightness. The remote module is optional, so if you just want it to operate at full brightness (and eliminate the chance of the remote becoming a toy for your kids) simply bypass it and connect the light strip directly to the power supply. I have a few other places I can use these and will be ordering some more for my house. ... show more

This is a 16+ foot white light strip with adhesive backing, with controller, 12 v power supply, 2 short jumpers and 2 clips. This is only for indoor use! It comes conveniently rolled in a small wheel that keeps the strip well organized. Couple things that set this strip apart from others - It's UL listed, the adhesive backing is manufactured by a high quality manufacturer - 3M, rated for a very long lifespan (60,000+ hours) and includes 6 years of customer service (which sounds great, although it doesn't say warranty, so I'm not sure exactly what it provides). The ability to trim it to your desired length or to use around corners is also a positive. The remote control provides the ability to choose from multiple (4) different blinking patters and change the brightness from very bright to very dim (including several fixed percentage values - 100,50,25,10). It works very well and does *not* require line of site. This may be particularly helpful depending upon your use case. I have a couple reasons for dropping a star. The power supply is *large* - similar to that you might use for a laptop computer and will be difficult to hide away depending upon where you'll be using the strip. In other words, it may or may not be an issue for you. Secondly, this strip is expensive. Is it worth paying more for this one which has some features that account for the price difference (very good light quality, UL certification, long life, ability to be cut and very long light lifespan and product support)? That's for you to decide. A good product overall. If you're in the market for a higher quality light strip, this is definitely worth considering. ... show more
